J- well I'm having this cook out thing with the boys and I wanted to know if you wanted to come

Y- okay fine

You laugh and put your phone down to get ready for the day
You change your outfit and go to Jacks house

"Hey" you say giving him a hug
"Oh hey you're early"
"I know I figured your mom might need some help"
"Aw you're so nice" he smiles and you sit down
"So when are they all coming?" You ask
"Oh in like an hour"
"That's perfect I have enough time to hang out with you and leave right before they come to hang out with your mom and sisters"
"Babe!"
"What"
"You aren't going to leave here and hang with my mom"
"Why not she's nice"
"You're just trying to avoid my friends"
"Of course I am Jack. They hate me I know it"
"That is a lie"
"I see the looks they give me in the hall I know it"
"Well you don't know anything cause they don't hate you"
"Okay sure Jack sure"
He roll his eyes and you hear a car door shut
"Oof that's them bye" you get up but he grabs your hand
"Nope"
"But I have to help"
"Seriously"
"Yes"
"Okay fine but for 4 minutes and you're coming back"
"Yes thank you" you kiss his cheek and go inside
"Oh hey y/n" his mom says when you walk in
"Hi I was wondering if you needed any help with anything"
"Oh I think I'm all set but thanks"
"Are you sure?"
"I mean I guess you could make lemonade or something"
"Okay that's good"
She hands you the lemonade powder and you start to mix everything together
"So why aren't you out there with all them" she motions to the door and you sigh
"They hate me"
"Are you sure."
"Yeah every time I walk by them in the hall they give me the dirtiest looks. And when I show up to give Jack a gift or whatever they stare me down"
"Maybe it's someone behind you"
"Well maybe I don't know. But I really want them to like me cause if they don't they could tell Jack to break up with me and I don't want that"
"Do you love Jack cause if you do I mean why does it matter what his friends think?"
"Yeah I do love him... but don't tell him I told you cause I don't think he's ready to say it back"
"What do you mean"
"Well me and Jack haven't well you know said the words yet and I'm waiting for him to tell me first"
"Oh well I'm sure he loves you anyways I think you've stalled enough you should go hang out with them"
"Do I have to"
"I'm sorry honey but yeah"
"Fine" you sigh and take the lemonade with cups outside
You smile as you walk over to everyone and place down the pitcher
"Aye sit with Me" jack says and you laugh
He moves over and you sit on his lap seeing as there were no other seats
Around you the boys all start a conversation with you adding in things every once in a while
"See they like you" Jack whispers to you and you turn around to face him
"You don't know that"
"Really cause you're having pretty good conversations"
"Whatever they could always still hate me"
"Okay you think that" he rolls his eyes and you turn back around

After a while of talking and hanging out you and the boys are pretty good friends
They admitted to being jealous of you and Jack's relationship and that's why they've given you dirty looks
They apologized for doing that and you accepted
"Hey I have to talk to you about something" jack says as the sun starts to set
"Oh um okay" he takes your hand and walks you to the end of his yard away from the boys
The boys all yell and scream and Zach even says "get it"
You guys roll your eyes and you make it to the end
"So first I wanna say I'm so happy you all are friends and I'm glad you talked about your differences"
"Yeah But I just gotta say I was right about how they hate me"
"About that.... I love you" he says slowly and your mouth opens in shock
"You-you do"
"Yes I love you so much.... why do you not feel the same"
"Oh my god no no no I feel exactly the same. I love you too. Omg omg omg I'm so happy"
"Wait for real!"
"For real"
"AHHHH!!!! SHE LOVES ME SHE LOVES ME"
"No he loves me!"
"We love each other"
"Yes Yes that is it we love each other" he pulls you into a kiss and you smile
"I love you Jack Avery"
"And i love you y/n y/l/n"
You guys join back with the others with smiles on your face and Zach smirks
"They definitely got it on"
