Sage's POV

"Cara mia, eat your vegetables." Taylor softly urges.

"I don't want to." A sweet medolic voice replied.

"You have to. Or else no dessert." Taylor replies. His voice is so soft and kind. Like, he's being careful.

"Okay Apa'." The angelic voice responds. That's when I see her face. She's a gorgeous little girl with brown hair and eyes. She's so small with her legs dangling from the chair and her elbow propped on the table, showcasing her refusal to eat her vegetables.

"That's my girl." He kisses her on the forehead and turns to me when he notices my presence.

"Cara you have to be in bed resting!" his voice says at the same time the angel's says "Mommy!"

They both run to me and when Taylor rubs my belly do I notice how huge it is.

"Cara, Mia and I will bring your food to you. Lets get you to bed." He softly says. I hear his irritation but ignore it when I hear her voice again.

"Mommy, I missed you. I never see you." Her chin trembles and her eyes water. The sight is too much for me to handle from the angel.

"What do you mean?" I find my voice.

"I havent seen you in so long. I thought you left me." She's crying now and if it wasn't for my huge stomach, I'd bend down and crush her small frame against my chest.

"I never left you." I say and reach my hand out to her.

"Cara, you left both of us for five years," I think this is when my heart stops. "Remember?"

I look towards the angel I have grown to love over the last brief minutes and see her backing away from me. "I never left." Its sound more like a question from me. "I never left you." I chant as I see her eyes change to confusion.

"Apa', who is she?" She asks when she's behind his leg.

My heart twists as I gasp awake. My breath comes out as a pant and I'm searching with my hands anything to hold onto.

A hand reaches out to meet mine and I automatically sense the warm glow radiating off of him.

"Taylor." I breath as I grasp his hand firmly and try to calm down my pounding pulse and erotic breathing.

"Cara mia, are you okay?" He asks worriedly once he pulls the car into a driveway and pulls me over the console into his chest.

I take comfort in him immediately as if my body's natural response. "I-I-I had a n-nightmare." I sob into his chest. God I must look like an idiot.

"Cara mia it's okay. Don't cry. I hate seeing you cry. I can't handle it. What happened in your dream?"

"I don't want to talk about it." I say into his chest.

"Will you tell me about it eventually?" He pleads. I can't tell him no. I love him and I'm keeping that from him. I can't keep a lousy nightmare from him too.

"Yes." Ill give him that.

"Okay then. You don't have to be upset about it. Its not real. I'm here for you Cara mia. I have a surprise." He says and I can hear his smile.

I pick up my head from his chest and wipe away my tears before smiling at him. "I need to clean up. I probably look a mess."

He laughs, furthering my embarrassment. "You don't even know the surprise cara. And you look beautiful."
