Lily's P.O.V
The boys have been getting along surprisingly well and I knew the fans could notice their sudden change in enthusiasm. Of course there were a few awkward moments when I was in the room with them both hit other than that everything was pretty much back to normal.
Today, Jack was taking me out on a date which I was super excited for. He had gone to get ready at the venue so I could have the bathroom on the tour bus to myself. Also, it felt more like a date when he was coming to pick me up.
I played with my curls, trying to get them to sit right when a knock at the bus door stopped my movements. I straightened my tartan smock dress before heading to let Jack in, snatching my bag on the way.
As the door opened, Jack was revealed looking devilishly handsome.
"Hey." I greeted him sweetly as he took my hand to help me exit the bus, leaving a kiss on my cheek as I made it onto the pavement without falling over. Go Lily!
"Hey beautiful." He replied, causing my inside to explode into a million pieces from his compliment.
He led me to a nice car and helped me in. I thanked him as he slid in next to me and tapped the screen separating us and the driver, indicating to start driving.
We talked about our day's as we drove, laughing and flirting freely. We arrived at a fancy looking restaurant and I mentally patted myself on the back for dressing somewhat nice.
The driver opened the car door for us and when I stepped out I was immediately blinded by flashing lights. As I regained my vision, the paparazzi came into focus making me gulp nervously.
I grip onto Jacks arm for dear life as he pushes through the men and women pining for a photo or quote.
"Keep your head down." Jack growled at me as I looked at my surroundings. I quickly complied, slightly scared by his tone of voice but I understood where he was coming from. I mean for one, he must not have any privacy with everyone following him around and two, if I had an anxious, claustrophobic 'girl I don't call my girlfriend but really should' then I would be stressed and snappy too.
Thankfully, the doors to restaurant opened upon our arrival and the employees managed to keep the cameras at bay, locking them outside.
I sighed in relief, loosening my grip on Jack. He turned to look at me, taking his sunglasses off in one swift movement. I should really get some so it could help with the flashing.
"Are you ok Lil? I'm really sorry, I didn't think they'd be able to find us." He spoke in a panicked tone, as if all of this was his fault. Silly boy. I rubbed my hands up and down his arms to try and soothe him.
"Jack, I'm fine honestly. it's not your fault." I reassured him, causing him to let out a large puff of breath. He just nodded and encased my hand in his, telling the women his name and following her to the table.
I sat opposite him and perused the menu but it was all so fancy so I didn't really know what to have. Our waitress soon came over.
"Hi, I'm Amber and i'll be your waitress tonight. Can I take your orders now or should I give you some more time." She spoke directly to Jack, not once glancing in my direction but I assumed it was because he was somewhat famous and she wanted to be noticed by him, so I shrugged it off.
Jack looked at me, waiting for me to order. I think he noticed how unsure I was as he quickly ordered for both of us. I smiled at him softly as a thank you for not embarrassing me. He winked back causing my cheeks to heat up.
"Great, your meals will be right out." And with that, Amber left us alone. I let out a breath, silently glad that she had gone. I get that Jack is well known but there's no need to be rude to me. I'm a customer, it's her job to be welcoming and so far, she wasn't doing a very good job of it.
We continued talking and having a good time when a plate full of delicious looking food was slammed down in front of me, onto the table. Some of the sauce from the plate landed on my dress. I looked up to see where it came from when I saw Amber smirking at what she had just done.
I watched as she carefully leaned over, showing off her exposed chest to Jack brilliantly, placing his food in front of him with a wink before sauntering off with a sway in her hips.
As soon as she'd gone, Jack began apologising profusely. I huffed in annoyance and announced to Jack that I was going to the bathroom to clean up. I left him at the table with concern written all over his face and headed to the bathroom, trying to get the sauce off with my fingers.
Looking down at the stain on my dress, I reached out with my other hand to push the ladies toilet door open, only to be blocked completely.
I immediately started apologising for being so clumsy when I saw it was Amber.
"What do you want Amber?" I asked angrily, gritting my teeth.
"I want you to leave my Jack alone." she elongated every word making her sound even more harsh that she did before.
"That's not going to happen. If you haven't noticed, we're on a date right now." I blatantly stated the obvious but this girl seemed like she needed help in seeing what was right in front of her.
"You think this is a date?!" She exclaimed, beginning to giggle.
"Oh darling, he's pitying you! Why else would he want to go out with someone like you? You're plain, ugly and boring." Her finger prodded into my chest as she crushed my confidence entirely."You don't know what you're talking about." I shoved her finger away from me and turned to walk away.
"Oh really? Then why did he slip me his number?" I span back around to see her holding a small piece of paper with digits written on it. My heart sank.
How could he?!
Amber began cackling at my betrayed expression but I could care less about what she thought.
I practically ran back to our table, Jack looking up at me in surprise.
"Lily? Are you alr-"
"How could you?! How could you fucking do that to me?!" I grabbed the glass of water from the table and dumped it over Jack's head before turning on my heel and walking away.
