Drew wakes alone for the third day in a row. Her and Edward have fought a few times since the shopping trip and he's been avoiding her. She just wants to be happy and it doesn't feel like she can here, with the history he has and the knife hanging over her head for being with him now. It's hard - how can she have a fresh start if no one wants to know her?
She lays in her back and stares up at the ceiling for a minute before climbing out. She changes into the jeans and one of the tshirts she got the other day, grabbing a jacket before she heads downstairs. It's just Esme and Rosalie home, the others hunting; both women look over as she comes down.
"Good morning. Are you hungry?" Esme smiles warmly.
Drew shakes her head small. "No, thank you. Is there any chance I can borrow a car? I need to get out."
"Sure - maybe I could come?" Esme asks.
"If it's okay, I'd rather go alone." Drew says quietly.
Esme nods and goes to the bowl of keys, handing her the one to Edwards Volvo. "Drive safe, okay? Use your sat nav."
She smiles small and nods, not noticing Esme and Rose share a look as she heads to the garage. She climbs in the car and pushes the button to open the garage, slowly backing out before speeding down the driveway. She flicks the stereo on as she pulls onto the road, flicking through the channels as she tries to keep cool. She just wants to drive for a while, be free and alone. She hasn't been alone in a very long time.
She settles on a CD, something classical Edward had in there but its better than nothing. She manages to find the town and parks up, taking a deep breath before climbing out and heading to a cafe. After ordering a coffee and muffin to go, she heads back to the car slowly, only to see a girl frozen by it. Said girl looks up at Drew with wide eyes, tired eyes; she looks tearful, scared, pale.
"You... You're the one they said is his new girlfriend. T-that isn't possible." She says shakily.
Drew tenses as she realises who it is. "You're her." She exhales slowly and looks at the cloudy sky for a moment. "God I wish he was here." She mutters before looking at Bella. "Yeah I am. My names Drew."
"I don't care what your name is, you can't be with him! He's mine!" She growls.
"Not anymore. Excuse me, I would like to get in my car." Drew says calmly.
Bella glares. "You can't have him."
"Move. Now." She growls as she steps closer. Bella backs up and Drew quickly climbs in the car, speeding away. She breathes shakily as she drives, managing to dial Esme.
"Did you get lost?" Esme laughs.
"Bella, she saw me. She's mad, Esme, like really mad."
"Okay okay calm down. Where are you?" Esme says as she grabs her car keys.
"I'm on my way home."
"Okay, come straight home and we will call Edward." Esme says.
Drew nods quickly and hangs up, biting her nail as she drives. It's moments later that a red/orange truck appears in her rear mirror, surprisingly picking up speed. Drew is already pushing 60 and she doesn't know the roads, so she just tries to keep ahead of the truck. She gasps as it smashes into her bumper moments later, the wheel jolting to the side and the car skidding into the trees beside there, Drews head smashing against the wheel. She sits frozen for a moment, as does Bella in the truck, before shakily opening the door and climbing out. She stares at Bella for a moment before losing it.
"What the HELL were you thinking!!" she screams.
Bella shakes as she shakes her head, unable to respond. Drew screams angrily. "You are a psycho! You have no right to him anymore he's mine!" she yells. "Get out here and face me you coward!"
