"....bett....tom....."

I stirred slowly in my sleep, no, I wasn't asleep. This didn't feel like a normal slumber. It felt..forced. I could hear voices around me, which seemed to pull me more out of my unconscious state. I slowly opened my eyes, wincing at the bright light that flooded my vision.

"Sh....awak...!" I groaned, finally opening my eyes fully and taking in my surroundings. I could see a few people standing around, but they all seemed to be doctors and nurses. Was I in the hospital? Why?

Oh wait, I remember something..headlights? I was hit by a car, I think.

"Miss L/n? Can you hear me?" I finally focused, seeing a light in my eye. The doctor was checking my eyes and ears, asking me a bunch of questions. "Do you know where you are?"

"The...hospital..?" I slowly asked, looking around the room. The doctor nodded. pulling out a chart. "You were in your car, when a woman ran her car into you. You suffered sever injuries..but they've healed for the most part. Your arm is casted, though, as well as your leg. You'll need to use a wheel chair to get around." I frowned, I didn't want to be in a wheel chair.

"How long was I out?" I finally asked, looking at my nails that had actually slightly grown out.

"A month."

"Oh-WHAT?!" I screamed, then held my head. Screaming hurts. "Miss, please refrain from outbursts like that. You'll hurt yourself." The doctor frowned as I nodded. I've been out for a whole month?

"We had to induce you into a coma because you weren't able to breath on your own. We took you off of the ventilator last week, but you hadn't woken up yet. We just waited to see if you would on your own. Nurse Sams, please contact her family and let those friends of hers in the lobby know shes awake."

My friends in the lobby?

Who?

>>Damien's POV<<

I sat next to Shayne, laughing about something that had happened earlier that day on set. We had just finished filming a try not to laugh with Rhett and Link, and man it was amazing. I'm glad we were able to work with them today, they were great.

"Oh man, I almost died laughing when Link couldn't get that whoopie cushion to go." He said, sipping his coffee that we had gotten from Starbucks.

I went to speak again, but turned my head when I noticed one of Y/n's doctors walk out. Usually they would tell us daily how she was doing, and how long it should be until she's awake. But lately all we've been getting was 'soon.'

"I am very pleased to announce that Y/n has finally woken up." The doctor said. I almost dropped the coffee that was in my hand, feeling my chest fill up with a warmth. A warmth that the last time I felt was when I first laid my eyes on her.

"May we go see her?" Shayne asked as the doctor nodded. "Just don't be loud, and don't crowd her, but yes, you may all go see her."

I rushed past the doctor. She was awake! Holy crap! Y/n, I'm coming!

All that was there today was Shayne and I, so she wouldn't have everyone jumping on her at once thankfully. But, I don't care who was here, I just needed to see her.

"Y/n?" I slowly walked in, knocking on the door as I stepped into the room. I watched her turn her head, her beautiful Y/n eyes gazing at me. "Damien!" She beamed, patting the chair beside her bed. I happily walked over, taking a seat and taking her good hand into my own. "Oh my god, you're actually awake."

"And you have weird blue streaks in only one park of your hair." She said with a soft giggle, reaching up and running her hands through the one blue spot in my hair. I let out my own chuckle, leaning my head against her hand and shutting my eyes. I felt like a huge weight had been lifted off of my shoulders. Being able to hear her beautiful voice, though it was slightly raspy from being asleep for so long.

"Hey girl." Shayne walked in, taking a seat on the other side of the bed. Y/n smiled, looking at him. "Hey, Shayne. I hope you guys didn't wait around for me for too long."

"We would wait forever if we had to." I said, playing with her fingers. I saw he face light up slightly as she smiled, then she frowned. "Why am I in the hospital?"

I frowned, looking down. It was my fault. "Vanessa slammed her car into the side of yours, we aren't sure what her intent was..but.." I took a shaky breath, looking up at her. "If I never would have let her back in this never would have happened. Not only did I hurt you mentally but I did physically, and I'm so sorry."

"Damien." She reached up, placing her small hand onto my cheek. I looked up into her bright e/c eyes. "I don't blame you, you can't help that this happened. She chose to do this on her own accord. I can't be upset with you. Please don't blame yourself." She frowned, as her thumb ran across my cheek. I finally fully observed her face. She still had a bandage on her left cheek, and her right eye was bruised. Her right arm was broken as well as her left ankle.

"Okay." I took a breath. How could I not blame myself? She's all mangled and bruised, because of me.

"Damien. Stop." She pinched my cheek, snapping me out of my daze. "Ow, ow okay okay!" I laughed, holding her hand. "I'm sorry, I just.."

"I know." She smiled, caressing my cheek once more. "I'm not upset with you, Damien, okay?"

"Okay." I took a breath, before letting the thoughts leave my mind for now. I can't be down right now, she's awake! My beautiful girl..well I hope she's still my girl, is awake! I have to be happy.

"I let the others know she was awake, but Courtney said that she was gonna stop by Y/n's house and get her a change of clothes for when she's discharged."

"Okay, tell her I said thanks!" Y/n smiled, seeming happy once again.

>>Y/n's POV<<

It had been about an hour, and the room was filled with my coworkers and family. I got caught up on recent videos smosh had been doing, and any family things that was going on. I honestly have felt this happy in years, and all it took was getting wrecked by a car.

Ha.

The door opened, and Courtney finally joined with our group. She smiled when she saw me, and walked up, giving me a quick and very careful hug. "Girl, thank god!" She sighed with relief, then looked at everyone in the room. "I'm sorry to ask of this for everyone, but can I talk to her alone? There's something really important we need to talk about." Courtney's voice grew serious. I had never heard her get like this before, was she upset with me?

Everyone nodded, and left the room so we could talk. Damien gave me a worried look before stepping out himself. Courtney made sure no one staggered to listen, then walked up, pulling a few papers out of her pocket.

"Y/n..."

Shit. I know what those papers are.

"Yeah?"

"When was the last time you paid rent?"

My heart dropped as I looked down, shrugging my shoulders. I was already struggling to pay when I had my original smosh job, and when we lost our jobs I wasn't able to pay for the four months. The landlord sort of understood, but the debt kept collecting.

"I-"

"I don't know if anyone thought to talk to your landlord about what happened..." Her face grew dark as she looked down. "All of your stuff is boxed up and on the sidewalk, you got evicted. I tried calling the number on the paper to talk to him, but he wouldn't listen to reason. I'm so sorry."

My eyes were wide in shock. He actually kicked me out while I was in a coma? Oh my god.

"Do you want me to tell them?"

"No, just our coworkers. I don't want my family to know or else they'll try to get me to move back home, then I'll be too far from work." Courtney nodded, and opened the door. I watched as my parents walked in, and she took everyone to the side to speak to them.

Dammit.

Of course more things would happen. Why would I get to catch a break?
