— Although most reoccurring things happened naturally, drugs are forced from the brain and habited from trauma or bad experiences. The use of drugs so often is abuse to not only the brain, body, and person in general. but also the drug itself.
Sitting in his usual spot at the Cordero Void Diner, Joey mourned the coming of one person in his group. they all had began chatting about the upcoming school carnival, and of course the cakewalk they went to yearly together. nothing out of the ordinary since it was the topic since last week anyways, but of course joey had been broken up with his girlfriend the previous day. she had already moved on, which made his blood boil with anger and jealously.
while tapping all four fingers, minus his thumb onto the table his friends shared occasional glances. he hadn't had told them. they were clueless and confused. "joey?" devin, the brunette, and tan boy chirped to his attention. joey glanced at him, the look of annoyance lingering in his eyes. "yes?" i grimaced. tayler could be heard sighing from the sidelines.
devin saw he was pissed off, and shook it off."god what crawled up your ass birlem." ashton snorted. finally, ashton. the least favorite in the group of friends. honestly, he was a poser. joey often questioned who the fuck allowed this kid into the group. "your fucking father, ashton." he retorted and the rest of the boys were sent into a roar of laughter. it was no question that joey was bisexual, nobody thought it mattered that much. and quite frankly it didn't.
obviously, it was a joke. but ashton thought quite different. "you faggot!" ashton yelped, sending joeys eyes to dart to him in a second. ashton's face was red, mainly because he was one, flustered, two, angry. probably because his parents didn't love him. joey didn't speak, mainly because when he was mad, he couldn't. in the blink of an eye ashton was sent out of the booth and onto the floor with a swipe of joeys fist to his cheek. "get the fuck out." he growled.
and with that, ashton scurried out of the diner.watching as the scene calmed, and the taller boy ran out while clutching his jaw, the girl with the long black hair watched in horror. she plucked the page from her book, shutting it and shaking her head. "dear lord." her voice murmured quietly while her head went straight down back into her book.
ashton on the other hand was angered, and quite frankly very stupid since he still thought joey and his father had done something. it sent his small, and very dull brain into a spiral. the first person he called was mackenzie, his girlfriend. they had just started dating the previous day, and quite frankly ashton was annoying with his constant complaints.
mackenzie regretted being with him."joey what the fuck?" tayler whisper shouted at the brunette boy who looked emotionless. "hm" he hummed, shifting his fingers through his hair stir-fully. tayler sighed, unsure of what had gotten into joey. since he knew him from the time he had turned twelve, to now. seventeen years old and nearly the most violent person he's encountered. although, this was more sudden than over the course of a few years. just a month ago joey was fine. of course tayler had asked about it, the occasional conversation came up but joey either got pissed off and told him to shut up, or just shrugged.
joey peered at his phone screen, watching it dim as he turned it off. "i gotta go." he sputtered and grabbed his backpack, leaving the group of friends behind. he fumbled to get his keys from his pocket, and walked to his car. joeys mind too fumbled as he opened the car door, getting in afterwards. he thought about everything, including his relationship and family. but it was all so clouded.
so clouded from the first drug he had ever tried
sadly, this drug wasn't anything that was subtle or relaxing. well, mainly it relaxed joeys mind and erased the pain temporarily. but it wasn't anything you'd call normal to use.MARCH 13TH 2019
skipping playfully, sophia admired the flowers by the side of the road while her brother joey trudged along behind her. "joey, theyre gonna close." she groaned, stopping in her tracks and turning to the eldest birlem. late, for their every weekend thing. joey and sophia always went to the donut shop after school on fridays. it was their thing to catch up on the week since it was so hecktick, that way they had the weekends to themselves.
joey rolled his eyes and watched his sister admire almost literally everything. he adored her, of course they weren't always close but that was because of his fathers absence when he was younger. it doesn't affect him as much now. sophia stopped at the corner of the sidewalk, just where the crosswalk and buttons were. she pressed the button repeatedly, listening to the screech of cars behind her. something joey didn't find traumatic until this day.
in a matter of seconds, joey watched in shock, and complete horror as an 18 wheeler cane fasting down the hill. in the direction of his little sister. "sophia!" he screamed, hoping to god she would get out of the way. her eyes sent into joeys, earning a shocked expression before everything went silent. numb. joey ran, like he never had and with all he could, he yelped out sophia's name. he could barely feel his heart anymore from how fast it was beating, and how he knew she was gone. he tried so hard to remain silent but when she started to go pale, and he got a view of her blood puddle beginning to form around her. he lost it.
that day, joey didn't sleep.
that week, joey didn't eat.
that month, joey didn't speak.he decided he needed to get his mind off of it for once.
so, he became an addict to heroine.
