Lauren's pov.
After I reached my car again I could see Camila already sitting in a driver side. I quickly got in and buckled my seat belt.
"So what's the first step?" She said excitedly.
"Well first you have to be comfortable." I chuckled lowly. "So check your seat and your mirrors."
She said as I told and moved her seat a little closer. "Okay, mirrors are fine for me as they are." She said looking at me with that adorable smile.
"Perfect so it's not manual car so you don't have to worry about the gear box." I explained to her.
"Gear what?" She asked confused.
I laughed softly. " That stick between us." I realized what I said and blushed a little. "Okay so I think it's time to run the engine." I said after clearing my throat.
After few minutes Camila caught on and we started driving. I seriously love it. Late nights, empty streets and music playing on the radio softly.
After I got my car I stopped smoking weed as much as I used to. I mean I was never an addict but I just smoked when I needed to calm down. Now I just take my car when I'm stressed and drive away. I don't care about anything then it's just me, myself and I.
I didn't realize I was deep in thought when I felt warm hand softly touching mine. I smiled a little and turned to Camila.
"Are you okay, Lo?" She asked me with worried tone and turned to look at me for a second before focusing on the road again.
"Yeah, I'm perfectly fine." I said gently. "You can turn right in here, I actually know a nice place."
I usually go there when I'm overwhelmed. It's only a small hill but the view from there is amazing. I always just park my car and look up at the stars.
With Camila's hand still in mine we arrived to our destination. She turned off the engine and let out a sigh.
"It's so peaceful here. How did you find that place?"
"I was actually driving around one night and I got lost." I chuckled. "I found this place by accident and fell in love with it. It's like all my problems are gone when I'm here."
"I wish it was that simple." Camila whispered, not meeting my eyes.
I could tell that she's keeping something from me but I didn't want to push her. I mean we haven't seen each other in 2 years.
I decided to let it go for now.
I started distracting her again and even telling her some lame jokes to cheer her up. Somehow we ended up in a backseat with my arm wrapped around her shoulders just telling each other stories.
" Are you cold?" I asked her when she hugged herself and shivered a little.
"A little, yeah." She said quietly.
I slowly pulled away from her and find my old blanket.
"I should have a hoodie in the trunk as well, I'll come get it if you want."
"No, stay." She said hurriedly. "I mean the blanket is fine, I'm not that cold."
I nodded my head and turned up the heating small bit as well. We returned to our previous position. Camila cuddled up to me and I put the blanket around us.
We were silent for few minutes.
"Thanks for taking me out tonight, Lo." She said looking up at me.
"Honestly all you have to do is call me, I still have the same number."
"I know, I know." She said softly.
If we want to do this right this time I decided to be honest with her. I pulled away from her slightly and looked down at her.
"So like, why haven't you?"
