☾unavngivet - twenty-nine

"So he finally told you?" Mark questioned the younger.

"You knew?" Renjun widened his eyes.

"It's really obvious," Haechan mumbled. "I'm surprised you didn't know until he told you. Jeno looks at you the exact same way he looks at Jaemin, full of love and hope. It's pretty hard to miss. Especially when he laughs," he told them and Renjun turned his attention from Mark to the younger.

"When Jeno laughs with you or Jaemin, his eyes always crinkle a little. His eyes don't crinkle when he laughs with anyone else."

Renjun parted his lips and heaved a long sigh. Everything was really hitting him hard. He felt betrayed and lost. Jeno had always been someone he really loved as a friend, and he still is, but the fact the Jeno all this time saw him in a different light was hard to accept for Renjun.

He wanted to blame Jeno but there wasn't anything to blame him for, neither any reason.

"You sure do notice a lot of things, Haechan," Renjun mumbled quietly.

The rest of the not so long walk from the playground and back to the house went by silently. Mark didn't know what to say, whether to comfort Renjun or not. It has always been hard to figure out exactly how Renjun feels. He's just amazingly good at hiding his feelings, and Mark's terribly bad at digging them out.

"You know, Renjun-" Mark was about to say, but Renjun cut him off.

"We're home," the younger breathed and walked past Mark and Haechan over to Chenle's summer house.

Jaemin, Jeno, Jisung, and Chenle stood in front of the front door when the three arrived, Jaemin sighing in relief when he saw Renjun was fine.

Renjun made his way over to them, keeping his gaze anywhere but at Jeno. He didn't want to seem rude but looking at Jeno right now just wouldn't make anything better. Mark and Haechan followed behind him, still very unsure if to say anything.

"Sorry if I worried you guys," Renjun spoke in a monotone, his expression not any less than his voice. "I didn't think you would take it this seriously."

Jisung scoffed a little. "You freaking vanished without saying anything and didn't pick up your phone. How can you not think we would take it seriously? For all we know, you could've been kidnapped!"

Renjun stared dully at Jisung. "Sorry," he mumbled and walked past the group towards the front door.

"Why's he acting like that?" Jisung questioned sadly for himself.

Renjun didn't seem to hear him and only opened the front door where he was about to enter the house but was stopped by Jaemin.

"We need to talk," Jaemin said and grabbed the older's arm.

"I don't want to," Renjun said and yanked his arm out of Jaemin's grip.

"Too bad, you have to," Jeno told him and dragged him into the house followed by Jaemin, much to the older's despise.

As the three had left into the house Haechan smiled and tucked Mark's sleeve. "I need to tell you something, Mark. It's important," he whispered and as fast as Jaemin, Renjun, and Jeno had vanished, Mark and Haechan vanished into the house as well, which left Jisung and Chenle to stand alone outside.

"More drama is happening here than in the girls' locker room," Chenle shook his head.

Jisung chuckled. "How do you know what happens in the girls' locker room?"
