(Rider POV)
                          
My eyes widened
"What?" I asked
"The main entrance is locked." Hachi repeated
I quickly ran to the doors and tried to force them open. They didn't even budge, almost like they were painted to the walls. I then started to ram my shoulder against the doors, trying anything I could to even so much as budge them. Specs and Hachi ran over and pulled me away before I could do any serious damage.
'What the hell is going on around here?'
"Okay but what about by the pools or the other buildings?" I huffed "There should be a gate or something, no way in hell we're trapped here."
"That's the other issue." Specs said as he adjusted his glasses
"Oh god, what now?"
"See for yourself."
I hesitantly followed the two down past the main desk and into a hallway with two rooms across each other, at the end was a set of glass double doors going to the pool and hot tubs. As we went out I looked around, and at first everything seemed normal, until I got a closer look behind the other buildings. Large concreate walls surrounded the entire hotel, I froze with shock and a cold sweat started to form.
"What the hell is this..?" I muttered
'This wasn't here before, we definitely would've noticed those from the front of the place.'
"Emperor and Nana already checked them out," Hachi said "Too smooth to climb."
"Okay-no." I said "This is starting to get ridiculous, whoever the hell set this up is playing some weird joke on us-and I'm not falling for it anymore!"
Specs and Hachi exchanged quick glances at each other. I sighed and turned from them "I'm gonna go check on Bamboo." I said as I left them
Walking back inside I stopped as Skull left one of the rooms in the hallway. We both stood in silence for a moment before Skull spoke up
"You seem upset, course that's nothing new." Skull shrugged
"Thanks." I rolled my eyes and started to walk past the inkling, until he grabbed my arm and stopped me in my tracks
"I hope you've learned how to control your temper, wouldn't want 'that' to happen again do we?"
Skull's voice was much more serious than normal. I stayed silent and glared at him until he released his grip on my arm and walked outside
'I felt bad enough I made him cry and lost his trust, you don't have to bring it up every 5 minutes.'
I rubbed my eyes and made my way back to the second floor. Bamboo was standing outside our room, fiddling with her phone
"How's it going u here?" I asked
"I couldn't get any of the other rooms open except ours." Bamboo said "And there's no sign of any locks on them either, so I have no idea how to open them."
"Well there's nothing we can do about that." I said
"But we do have a problem."
'Dear god how much can go wrong in 10 minutes?!'
"I can't seem to get a signal in here, I can't check in with Stealth or School cardigan."
I instinctively grabbed my phone from my back pocket and checked as well, no bars.
"That's just great." I groaned
"Should we go check with the others?" Bamboo asked
"Yeah, I think they're by the pool." I replied "Maybe our phones will work once we get out there."
Bamboo nodded and we both walked back downstairs and to the pool. Everyone else was huddled together by the hot tubs. Bamboo and I stood behind Half Rims and Bobble and listened in
"Why is it such a big deal?" Aloha asked "We came ere to have fun, didn't we?"
"Why don't we go in the ballroom or the acrade and hang out?" Goggles sugested "Everyone's stressing out too much, I'm sure it's just locked for saftey purposes."
"That still doesn't explain why the front doors won't open." Headphones said
"UGH who cares!" Aloha whined as he walked away from the group
Army tried to call for him, but the pik inkling retorted by flipping the bird to his companion. Army stormed off after Aloha
"Oh great, can someone come with me and keep those two from killing each other?" Skull groaned
"Why don't we all go like Goggles said?" Gloves asked
"We don't have anywhere else to gooo." Mask said
"Yay! let's go!" Goggles yelled as he ran to the other building
                          
(Goggle's POV)
                          
When i got inside all you could hear were Army and Aloha fighting again. I went in the Ballroom and ran straight to the fod table, eating anything and everything they had. Specs had to pull me away before I chocked on a pastry. After a couple hours everyone seemed less stressed out and enjoyed themselfs. I lookd around and saw Rider wasn't in the Ballroom. I left and took a glance in the Arcade but her wasn't in there either. Once outside i finally saw him by the pool, his jacket and Punk Blacks were resting next to him as he sat at the edge with his feet in the water. (Inkling safe mind you so they can swim without pain) I walked over and sat down next to him
"I know you have the tough guy reputation and all but you don't have to be a loner." I smiled at my friend, who only looked away andstayed silent. I followed along and removed my Hero replicas, then dipped my feet in the water. I looked over at Rider and asked if he had anything on his mind, he nodded but didn't explain
"Well you know you can always talk to me or Bamboo if you're feeling troubled." I said
"Mm hm." Rider nodded again as he stared into the water
I bent over a little to get a better look at his face, it was neutral for the most part, but his eyes seemed darker. I only saw them like that once before, which got me thinking
"Are you still upset about that day between you and Specs?" I asked
Rider flinched a little but gave no verbal reply. I scootched closer to the yellow-green inkling and placed my hand on his shoulder
"You know he's actually doing a lot better now." I started "And he's been saying he wants to talk with you, but he's still finding the courage to do so."
"I'm not ready yet either." Rider sighed
"That's okay! Take your time. But just be careful with what you say."
"You're his best friend Goggles, you know him better than the rest of us. But it's still clear as day I messed him up-"
"But you fel just as bad about what happened and that shows too!"
I turned Rider so that he was facing me "You'll be fine-you both will be fine. After the party can you please try talking? I don't want my best friends to be fighting with each other."
Rider had a look on his face I couldn't really make out, but he lowered is head a bit and sighed
"Alright, fine."
"Thank you."
I leaned in and hugged Rider, instead of the usual 'Get off idiot!' treatment he actually wrapped one arm around me and hugged back
"Do you want to go back to the Ballroom?" I asked
"Sure, just give me a sec will you?"Rider replied
I nodded and quickly threw my shos back on before walking back into the Ballroom.
