Chapter 19: Our Very First Night
It was all over the news about the Jonas Brothers parents passing away on a flight heading back home. The fans been overwhelmed with the news and wishing the family well. Both Kevin and Dani were called in to baby sit the girls that weekend when it all happened.
Joe and Nick were flying back home today to mourn over the death of their parents. They took a break from music for a bit to be with family.
Kevin: (knocks on door) Annie sweetheart come out please, the boys will be here any minute
*No Response*
Kevin sighs walking away and then tries Hayley's room.
Kevin: (knocks and enter Hayley's room) aww bug whatcha doing
Hayley: drawing picture for Joe and Nick
Kevin: that's sweet of you Hayley. How are you doing?
Hayley: I'm okay
Kevin: do you want to talk about it?
Hayley: (shakes head) not really
Kevin: (sighs) okay, when you do, I'm always here to talk
Hayley just nods her head and Kevin sighs and kisses the top of her forehead and leaves her bedroom.
Dani: (sees Kevin coming down the stairs) your brothers just pulled up in the Uber
Kevin: that's good
Dani: how are the girls doing?
Kevin: not great they're obviously taking it hard. Annie barely won't come out of her room. And Hayley is acting like everything is okay even tho it's clear on her face that she is hurting
Dani: and you?
Kevin: what about me?
Dani: you haven't shown any emotion since you heard about the news
Kevin: I'm just being strong for the girls
Dani: it's okay to cry Kevin
Kevin was about to say something but sighs in relief when his brothers came through the door.
Kevin: my brother!
Joe: my brother!
Kevin/Joe: hug me brother! (hugs each other)
Nick: (looks annoyed) this is what I had to put up with my whole life
Dani: (giggles)
Kevin: (pulls away from the hug) hi grumpy
Nick glared at him but hug his brother anyways because he know he was just kidding around.
Nick: how are you Kev?
Kevin: oh I'm fine really, just worried about the girls
Nick: Annie still hasn't come out of her room
Kevin: nope not since she heard
Joe: man, I can't believe mom and dad are gone. What's gonna happened to the girls?
Kevin: well since I'm the oldest I'm pretty sure I would have to look after them
Nick: you can't raise two girls alone
Kevin: I won't be alone I will have Dani helping out
Dani: I love those girls like my own little sisters, I don't mind moving in to help out. Plus Kevin and I were thinking about having our own little family anyways and we wanted to see what parenthood would look like
Joe: they're our sisters too! We should be helping raise the girls
Kevin: guys you will be back in LA in a week doing your own projects. I want you guys to focus on your careers. Dani and I will handle the girls
Nick: but we want to be apart of the girls life too
Kevin: how about this, I'll call you guys whenever I need advice with something on how I should discipline the girls
Joe: well I guess we are at least contributing on things
Nick: also take pictures and video tape every moment with the girls and send them to us so it will feel like we are there
Kevin: you got it, it will most likely be on social media as well because fans want to know how the girls and we are dealing about this
Nick: crap I forgot about the fans, we should probably address the situation
Joe: yeah we should but first we are gonna say hi to the girls
Kevin: you might get some luck with Hayley, Annie I'm not sure
Joe: hey will get that kid to come out of the room, will even take away her door if we have to
Kevin: Joe don't do that to her, I know you're only joking because it's your way of grieving but Annie won't like the jokes right now
Joe: right...
