Chapter 49
April 27,2013
*Ariana*
I neatly smooth out the plain white sheets and carefully take a seat waiting for John. Usually spending almost three weeks in a hospital is relaxing and a relief unless you're being poked with needles, constantly taking x-rays of your body and going over a disease that bothers you. It's quite tiring when all you talk about is a disease, what the outcomes might be and then after all you think about is the bad things about the disease you are suffering from. It's like a huge weight dropping onto your shoulders, keeping you from doing anything else but focusing on that one subject that makes everything feel like hell.
"Ariana?"
I look up to see John smiling softly with a clipboard in his hand. I let out a low sigh before replying with a 'Yes'.
"We can fix this alright. All you need to do is keep singing and enjoying life while we take care of all the medicines and treatments you need. I don't want you stressing over this because everything is going to get better."
I force a smile and nod in reply of a 'Okay'. He turns around towards the door and hesitates to leave before he actually does.
As soon as the door shuts close the tears that were threatening to spill while John was here start to fall. My chest heaves while my breathing slowly becomes uneven, making my silent sobs sound louder. I stand from the bed and drag my feet towards the bathroom trying to calm myself down.
I look up and stare at the girl in the mirror, it's no longer me it's the broken Ariana I once was in high school. The girl with blood running down her wrist, a sad depressing smile and bruises covering her body. She smiles, a broken smile and tears are covering her red rosy cheeks as she puts her hand to the mirror, she removes her hand from the mirror and slowly step back staring straight at me making me smile weakly. I suck in a breath of air while she slightly waves her hand forcing a smile.
"You're stronger than this. Look at what you've become, you can get through this. Beat the Sickle Cell Anemia's ass." She speaks almost whispering.
My throat tightens and a new pool of tears cascade down my cheeks, taking in the words that were spoken. I close my eyes softly feeling the tears drops from my eyelashes land on my cheeks and when my eyes flutter open the girl in the mirror is gone and hope replaces the doubt I once had.

To:Ariana🙊💕
The lads and I can visit you xx
Ariana and I have been texting a lot lately, she's been telling me how it's nothing big it was just a little shock she went through.
From:Ariana🙊💕
No that's not necessary but thanks Harry 💜
I smile at the text and set my phone down before getting the guys attention. They all turn my way and wait for me to speak.
"We should visit Ariana."
"We visit almost every two months mate. But I do miss her." Louis stated.
"Our next concert is in only two days we can a least go there now or early tomorrow morning." Liam said.
"Now because we are eight hours ahead of their time which means it only two about to be three in the after noon there."
"Let's get the packing!" Niall yelled opening up his suitcase.
A surprise visit won't do any harm. We're just really worried, it would be nice to see her and how she's recovering from the shock.
