EJ and his friends were walking down the hallways of Cali High. They were heading to class talking about prom. 
                          
Roc : So my niggas who we taking to prom? I'm taking Keisha. Ooh we! 
                          
Ray : Man forget Keisha. I got Christi fine ass. I asked her this morning and she said it so sexy. 
                          
Roc : Nigga you mad cause she digging me other than you? 
                          
Ray : Fuck Keisha! 
                          
Prod : Alright niggas damn. Cool off. I'm taking Britney. 
                          
Prince : I'm taking Valerie. 
                          
EJ didn't say nothing. His friends were looking at him waiting for an answer. He just looked at them. 
                          
EJ : What? 
                          
Prince : Um who you taking to prom? 
                          
EJ : I haven't asked anybody yet.
                          
Roc : Whaaaat! 
                          
Ray placed his hand on EJ's forehead checking his temperature. EJ looked at him crazy. 
                          
Ray : He ain't warm. Open ya mouth let me see. 
                          
EJ : Nigga go somewhere! *pushes him*
                          
Prince : We surprised you didn't ask nobody yet. 
                          
EJ : Well I just ain't find that one yet. 
                          
Roc : Bullshit. 
                          
EJ just shook his head and walked in the class. He walked to the back to his seat until he seen a girl there. She was cute and looked shy. EJ walked to her. The girl looked at him and blushed from nervousness. 
                          
EJ : Hi there. 
                          
The girl waves. EJ wondered why she wouldn't speak. Maybe cause she's afraid or maybe like he thought earlier. Shy. 
                          
EJ sat next to her, which was Ray's seat. Ray came in and almost threw a fit. 
                          
Ray : No my nigga this ain't musical chairs. Get up. 
                          
EJ : Sit right there for a minute I'm trying to do something. 
                          
Ray looked at him then the girl and thought then. He smiled and nodded while sitting down in another desk. EJ looked back at the girl. 
                          
EJ : What's your name? 
                          
The girl grabbed some paper and her own then wrote something. EJ was confused but still waited until she was done. The girl finally gave EJ the note and he read it. 
                          
"I'm Yn. I can't talk now because my voice is gone for the time being. I won't be able to speak for the rest of the week. I'm sorry." 
                          
EJ looked at her and she looked down in shame. EJ lift her head back up at him and smiled. 
                          
EJ : Its ok. Don't look down. You're too beautiful for that. 
                          
Yn blushes and smiles then writes something else on the paper. 
                          
"Thank you." 
                          
EJ nods saying welcome. Through the whole block, EJ and Yn been passing notes. They smiled and blushed at each other also getting to know each other. 
                          
When the bell ringed, Yn got sad. EJ looked at her then grabbed her phone out her hand. 
                          
EJ : Have you heard of prom yet? 
                          
She looked at EJ then nodded. EJ then puts his number in her phone then gives it back to her. 
                          
EJ : Are you going to prom with anybody? 
                          
She shakes her head no. EJ then sees her schedule and takes it to look at it. He smiles a little then looks at her again. 
                          
EJ : Will you go to prom with me? 
                          
She blushes before nodding yes. EJ smiles then kisses her cheek. Yn blushes and covers her face. EJ laughs. 
                          
EJ : Come on. We're gonna be late for class. 
                          
Yn looked at him confusing. EJ just smiled and looked at her. 
                          
EJ : We have all the same classes together. Come on. 
                          
Yn smiles and grabs EJ hand. EJ smiled bigger and the two walked to class.
