The Bad Good News

                                    

                                          
"Fiona, after the christening, you have to have the coronation!" demanded Jacob, I knew he was right but I wasn't ready. I needed to sort things out with Shawn.
"One week after the christening I will become queen, alright?" I snapped and he nodded his head in agreement. Now Jacob was not nagging me, I could sort things out with Shawn.
   "Hello, Shawn." I spoke, as I closed the door behind me. I knelt down and looked into Shawn's eyes.
"I know that you have feelings for me but, I love my husband and I have two daughters with him. I can't leave him. You know I can't." Shawn turned away and said,
"No, Fiona. You don't love him, you're desperate and Jacob is controlling and you feel you have to be with him. But you love me, I know it." he responded, with so much passion and fury. It was the truth but I just wanted to hide from it.
   Jacob and I were going to give a speech about the coronation. As usual, when I was meant to talking and Jacob was by my side, he would take over me. I was thinking about how Shawn was saying that he was controlling, he was right. I grabbed his hand and carried on talking,
"I am having my coronation one week after the christening. Mine, not Jacob's." he gave me a dirty look and walked back off the balcony.
   "What are you doing, Fiona?" snapped Jacob. I was so shocked when he said that,
"Jacob, did you forget something? This is all me, not you. You were just taking the words out of my mouth! You have to stop doing this OK?" I responded. Jacob looked so confused when I, for once, took control, he was so angry and walked away. Shawn was right, I couldn't say I loved this man, because I didn't love Jacob.
   It was a day before the christening and I decided to tell Jacob how I really felt about him. 
"Jacob, I don't love you." he was so shocked and looked at me in disguist, 
"You thought it would be a good idea to tell me this the day before our daughters' christening?" he asked
"I wasn't going to tell you after the christening, was I?" 
"You could of told me before we married and had children together!" 
"Sorry that I let you in when you left while I was very pregnant or when you nearly killed a man!" 
"I killed him for your safely." 
"Well, was leaving me on my father's funeral for my safety?" Jacob didn't know what to say so he walked away. What were we going to do. 
   Maria and Victoria's christening passed and Jacob and I didn't talk at all during the time of the christening to my coronation. 
" Well Jacob, I hope you will be leaving soon. We are getting a divorce." no answer, 
"Jacob, we are mature adults, you can't ignore me forever." 
"You told me you didn't love me." 
"It is the truth." 
"Fiona, the truth hurts me. I love you and I don't want to divorce you over a fight. Please, can we just talk about it." he was right. It was a silly fight and it was immature to divorce over a fight. We didn't get divorced. 
   "I heard you talking, I thought you thought I was right." spoke Shawn, sternly, 
"Shawn, he is upset, I will divorce him. Please." 
"OK then. I love you, Fiona." 
"I love you too, Shawn." he kissed me and hugged me, then I went to get ready for my coronation. Also, I decided to tell Charlotte my news. 
"Charlotte." 
"What?" 
"I have great news!" 
"Yes?" 
"I have decided to take out the one person that draggs me down, I am divorcing Jacob! " Charlotte was so happy for me and hugged me. 
"There's more, I am in love with Shawn." 
"Fiona, you can't be with Shawn. The only way you can be with him is if you turn down the throne. He is second class. He's a chef! It's just not allowed. I am so sorry." 
"I will turn down the throne then." 
"You would turn down your country for a boy then give down a boy for your country?" 
   That made me think. What was I going to do? Shawn was my love but the country was my life.
