Sorry it's short

"Gosh darn it!" I hissed as I made my way out of the car with an aching pain that was spreading all over my body. The screams became so faint to my ears, I wondered if I was going deaf.
Glass shards pierced my skin as I crawled out of the car. Time would only tell if it would explode on me which is why I'm trying so fucking hard to get away from it.
It seemed endless by the way I was crawling on the pavement street to the sidewalk, trying my fastest to get somewhere safe. Those things were aware I was there and were heading my way. I had to act quick or else I'm dog food.

"Gah! Why the fuck is this happening!" I snarled out as my leg exploded with excruciating pain. I looked to my side to find one of them crawling as I was. Except this thing was looking to attack and I was looking for shelter.
I finally had enough strength to pick myself up from the ground. I pushed my body up, ignoring any pain that was coursing through and jogged to the nearest building.
I pushed my body against the door to one of them, anxiety overriding my mind.

"Come on open up!" I snarled. With one final push I got the door open and quickly shut it behind me. I lean against the door as I try to catch my breath while my eyes scan the building inside. It seemed to be empty.

I took the time to, well, comprehend everything that's been happening so far. Just- just what were those things? They were eating...people...

I choked back a few tears, my breaths just getting to catch up. My body slowly slid down to the floor.

"God, what now?"

Rummaging through the cabinets of a bathroom, I found what I needed. Medical supplies.

My last encounter led me to almost falling to my death but fortunately the fall was cushioned  but not so much. My body ached all over and some wounds I needed to treat urgently.

I haven't gotten used to it at all. I could still see familiar faces as I shot them down. It was starting to get to me.

Being a cop was all I wanted to do. To help people and to protect them from any danger. And I failed. I failed to protect those that counted on me...on us. For fucks sake! It wasn't supposed to be like this!
I leaned against the sink, placing my hands on each side. I took a look at the shattered mirror. My (h/c) was all somewhat greasy with dirt here and there. Cheeks had scratches and scapes that ran along. My uniform had cuts revealing bits of wounds on my skin with dried blood. I had taken a few pieces off my uniform to lighten my weight.
I sighed, disappointed in my condition.

I walked into a bedroom that I had cleared on my way to the station. A radio transmission was not too long ago broadcasted about supplies and shelter being offered there. Unfortunately I've been held back by the damn things to get there sooner. It didn't help that I've almost ran out of ammo. Since then I've  wondered if the station was even still held up.

"God I hope Kevin and Marvin and the rest of the guys are okay..." I could only think of the positive when it came to them. I can't imagine anyone from the force dead. I just can't.

I sat down on the bed, sighing in relief at the soft cushion. I bit my lip as I applied alcohol against my wounds to disinfect and placed bandages. Those were the only medical supplies I could find so far. I just hope back at the station I'll find better equipment.

I made my way down the stairs of apartment building I've been staying at. I leaned against the front doors, gun in hand, and looked outside. Left, right. There were only a few outside but even a small spark can conjure a wild fire. I had to play it safe.
I sneaked my way around with the cars being my hiding spots. I only wanted to use my pistol sparingly given that I had little to none. I recognized the buildings I walked past meaning that I was close to the station. A small glimmer of hope had erupted. Just a chance to see everyone is okay. I would say that I would have cried right there and then.

I came out of my hiding spot when the station was in my sight. Thankfully it seemed like those things were spread apart so my chances of getting in with no problem seemed to be high.
I jogged toward the gate of the station and jiggled the gates to get them open. The noises had disrupted the things as they turned around  and staggered along to me. Adrenaline was high as I resorted to kicked the gate open and locking it behind me. I stepped backwards as I saw the accumulation of them upon the gate. I sighed in relief knowing if I had wasted any more seconds, my chance at the moment would have been taken away.

"Guys!?" I shouted inside the station. Probably not the best idea as any of those things could be around but I'm already at this point why waste it. "It's me! (Y/n)!"

"(Y/n)?" I heard someone speak.

"Marvin?"
