{19} - C'est la vie

                                    

                                          
Breakdown walked around a boulder and spotted Knockout kneeling down beside Wildbreak, who was propped up against a boulder. There was a decent sized pool of energon around his sparkling's leg, though Knockout was about finished with patching it up. 
                          
He looked over his shoulder and growled at the Autobots as a warning to keep their distance, returning his attention to Knockout and his sparklings. "Will he be alright?" He asked in a hushed whisper, kneeling down beside Knockout and scanning over Wildbreak. 
                          
"Yes, I'm sure of it. It will take a while to heal, though." Knockout replied, putting away his medical supplies that he kept in his subspace. 
                          
"I'm so sorry, Wildbreak... It was my fault you got hurt.." Cascade murmured, looking down at his brother with guilt. 
                          
Wildbreak winced and sat up more, chuckling at his younger brother. "It's fine, Cas'. I didn't get hurt too badly. All that matters is that you didn't get hurt." He said, his gaze flicking up to the Autobots that were standing nearby. "What are they doing there, Sire?" He asked, his optics narrowing slightly. 
                          
Breakdown sighed, rising to his full height. "They're going to help us get away from Megatron." 
                          
"Don't tell me we're going to their base!" Knockout exclaimed, standing up as well and looking at Breakdown. 
                          
"We have to, Knock. It's the only way we can avoid another fight. Besides, we'll be safe from Megatron until we figure things out." Breakdown replied, glancing over his shoulder at Optimus. 
                          
Knockout groaned, tilting his helm back and staring at the ceiling. He did not want to go to the Autobot base, especially with his sparklings! He just didn't trust the Autobots around them! 
                          
"Please, sweetspark. For our sparklings." Breakdown mumbled, bending down and kissing Knockout on the helm. 
                          
"Fine. But if they lay one finger on either of them, someone's gonna lose a hand." Knockout huffed, shooting the Autobots a glare before looking back at Wildbreak. 
                          
"Have you come to a decision?" Optimus chimed in, taking a small step forward. 
                          
Breakdown turned around to face the Prime, a neutral expression on his face. "Yes. We will come with you to your base on one condition: treat us with respect." 
                          
Optimus nodded. "We will respect you and your family, Breakdown. Just know that you must respect my Autobots as well." 
                          
::That's a relief...:: Bumblebee sighed, putting away his blasters and tilting his helm. ::Is he gonna be Okay?:: 
                          
"He should be fine." Knockout replied, crossing his arms across his chassis. "Is there a groundbridge coming to retrieve us?" 
                          
Optimus nodded, comming Ratchet and calling for a groundbridge. A few moments later, a swirling teal portal appeared a few feet away from the group. 
                          
Breakdown bent down and gently picked up Wildbreak, being careful of his leg wound as he held him against his chassis. "C'mon, Cas'." He said, following the Autobots as they walked towards the portal. 
                          
Cascade whimpered slightly and stayed close to Knockout, still a bit frightened from the whole ordeal. 

                          
-The Autobot base- 

                          
Optimus was the first to come through the portal, soon followed by Bumblebee, Arcee, and finally Breakdown and his family. The portal closed with a hiss behind them and Ratchet turned to face Optimus. 
                          
"How do you plan on accommodating them? We only have two spare berthrooms." Ratchet said, huffing slightly as he set optics on Wildbreak for a moment. 
                          
"That will be enough. Knockout and I can share one berth while Wildbreak and Cascade can share the other." Breakdown answered for Optimus, shifting his weight slightly on his pedes. 
                          
"As long as he doesn't sleep on top of me again..." Wildbreak grumbled, shooting Cascade a playful glare. 
                          
"Alright. I'll show you where the berthrooms are." Optimus said, gesturing for Breakdown and Knockout to follow him. 
                          
Cascade relaxed a bit once he was sure the Autobots wouldn't hurt him or his family, silently following them down the hallway. 
                          
Maybe the Autobots weren't as bad as his parents had told him they were when he was younger.
