Marina's POV:
Me and Pearl let the rhythm of the music play whilst we took a break. Everyone had already decided to have a competition over who could dance better so we smiled and watched them amongst the neon lights.
"Isn't this splatfest incredible?!"
"I guess it is Pearlie. Maybe our best one yet!"
"So true, it's cool!"
We carried on sipping on our drinks before our break could end. Upon all the actions we were doing I tapped on my phone and found a message from somebody.
"I suggest you may want to postpone the splatfest now. You'll regret it later so do it now or pay up all your loved ones. Do not break the orders of this text!"
I handed the phone to Pearl so she could see but without any worry and shrugged it off and spoke.
"Wow, we're so cool we're getting threats!"
"I don't think you should be happy over that..."
"And I don't think you should worry a ton...", Pearl handed the phone back, "trust me, it's just an idiot trying to make us stop doing what we've been loving for ages. Let's relax, kick back and sing what we cherish...I think..."
"I guess..."
I deleted the message and shut my phone. It was now time to get back to singing!

Koy's POV:
I finally found her. It took a while but in the dark alleyway near the grizzco industries workplace I saw Tess, along with another inkling I had not seen before.
"Tess, apologise to Rachel this instant or else!"
"Or else what?!"
I stopped in my tracks. She and her friend were having an argument over our previous events.
"Or else I tell your friends myself!"
Now she was angry. In desperation she stormed off, ignoring me and continuing off to another area. I looked over at the inkling trying to calm Tess down and then back at where I should have been chasing after to catch Tess. Once I made my decision I left to go after her.
"She's not going to listen to you."
I turned back to the girl who spoke, "She won't listen to you either!"
"She's a bit of a selfish brat. Don't you think?" My thoughts of her being Tess' friend wavered.
"That's a little rude."
She ignored me and walked past to join the hunt, "At this point in time, anything we do won't top off what Tess has done to Rachel." Her eyes shifted solemnly, "You wanna join me?"
Startled by this, I made my reply. "Yeah... Sure..." I ran after the girl and spoke up, "Who are you exactly?"
"Gosh why does nobody know me anymore?" She took on an annoyed tone, "My name is Marie!"
Whilst chatting on our way, we began getting close to Tess in the middle of the square and confronted her.
"Tess!"
"Leave me alone!" She ran off somewhere again and demolished our view of her.
We did not take no for an answer however and we continued our pursuit. We searched around the shops in the area and pursued every single known location that was visible to us in a small amount of time. Each second that passed by us had given me and Marie more worry and soon enough both of us were tired out.
Eventually once we confirmed she was nowhere to be seen something odd happened.
Every inkling on the square peeked over each other as the panicking Marina was consulting Pearl. Me and Marie joined the routine of wandering our eyes but it soon became very apparent that something was off.
"Hey, why are the lights off?"

Marina's POV:
I gazed over at Pearl. She slowly tried to speak but her breath was being caught on her throat. After vigorous shaking my phone dropped from her pocket.
"Why were you hiding this from me?"
I felt her sweat slowly leak out as her eyes shook, "Im sorry. I may have been slightly incorrect."
A shadow loomed over the entire concert area and I snapped my phone on to see a message.
"I told you to obey my orders. Look where your carelessness got you!"
Everything else became a blur...
It made sense now. All the lights that were off in the square had shown something that we overlooked. At that moment, as soon as the large square-shaped shadow loomed over us, every inkling said the exact same thing. It was a miracle but once it was said, we all knew what was to happen.
"If we don't have lights...where's our electricity?"
