*Rye’s POV*

All four older boys and the two younger ones were all crowded in the backseat of the limo, now, and it was safe to say that it was pure chaos. The two younger boys were being extremely loud with their voices, obviously excited about everything. Mikey had turned on really loud music when he first got in, and he was attempting to yell over it to talk to the young ones, and Harvey was mostly laughing at the whole amusing scene.

Andy and I were sitting in the corner seats together, talking about whatever happened to come to mind, but still having to speak quite loudly to be heard over the loud radio, blasting hard rock, which didn’t seem like something a chill guy like Mikey would enjoy listening to.

“So, how excited were your brothers when you told them?” Andy’s face showed obvious excitement, just talking about the boys’ excitement.

I smiled at the adorable sight before me, leaning in slightly so I didn’t have to speak so loudly. "Oh boy, they were ecstatic. I don’t think I’ve ever seen them so excited for anything. It was really great to tell them, and I can’t wait for them to have the time of their lives. Sometimes we need some good time away from the house, ya know?”

I turned to look at the boys, and they were both currently busted out laughing at faces and voices Mikey was doing for them. He was always so good around them, and it sometimes seems like he would make a much better brother to them than I am.

“Yeah, I totally get that. My home life is obviously nothing compared to yours, yet I still need time away from it to keep me sane, so it’s good that you’re enjoying a day with no school and no dad to worry about.”

I nodded my head at his words, now looking deep into his engulfing eyes, and no longer at the boys. Not only were Andy’s words and advice always so wise, but he had a look in his eyes, along with his obvious zest for life, that made him seem so wise and experienced. He was younger than me by a few months, but there was something about him that just seemed so much more developed than me.

“Yeah, it’s nice to get away from the arse every once in a while.” He gave me what seemed to be a pity smile before tilting his head to look at Mikey with the boys. He nodded his head in that direction, and I turned to look as he began speaking again.

“It’s nice to see how well Mikey gets along with them too. It’s almost like he’s back to being their age again when he is around them.” He turned to look back at me with a smile, and I greeted his eyes with mine. “They need that, ya know, in a house like yours, it practically forces them to grow up, but they need time to just be kids. They need time to just be carefree, happy young boys.”

I nodded my head in agreement, still staring into those captivating eyes of his. I was about to reply to him but was quickly interrupted by Shaun nearly jumping on my lap as he slammed his hand against the window to point. “Look! Rye! Rye! Rye! Look, there it is!” I chuckled at his actions while tilting my head to see where he was pointing, and of course, there was the laser tag place that I’ve been to only once in my life.

“Well, what are we waiting on, let’s go!” Harvey knocked on the slide of the window, signifying to his butler to stop driving, and then he turned to the rest of us to continue his speaking. “Alright, let’s get out of here and go have some fun.”
The two youngest boys scrambled to get out of the vehicle, and I got out next, making sure to keep my eyes on the boys the whole time. Andy got out after me, followed by Mikey and lastly Harvey. Andy turned to look at me with a smile. “This is gonna be great.” I nodded at his words before turning my head to see the two boys running towards the entrance.

“Twins, wait up!” I laughed after my speaking and ran after them, not wanting them to be alone for too long. I caught up to them right before they entered the building, and we all three went in together. The room was bright, and there were two different sets of doors, one to go into the laser tag area and one to leave it. I walked up to the desk with a smile. “Hi, there’s supposed to be a reservation for Cantwell?”
