As soon as Amalgamous went missing, the Vehicons knew Megatron wouldn't show any mercy to them until she was found. And boy were they right.

There had never been so many volunteers to work in the mines, just because they wanted to get off the ship so they wouldn't be in the way of one of Megatron's anger tantrums.

But when she hadn't been found for now three weeks? Well, the Vehicons just gave up and let Megatron roll out his anger on them.

Megatron growled while he was sitting at the controls of the ship, he could hear pedsteps approaching behind him but didn't acknowledge them until they stopped. "What is it?" He snapped. There was no reply.

"I said what—" Megatron turned around, seeing Soundwave standing right behind him with a blank stare, of course. That is, until she pulled up a audio recording.

"Emily, go back to the base! Now!"

"Aw, m—"

And that was all that had followed Arcee's voice at first. "Do you think it could be her?" Megatron questioned, a hard expression on his face. "Hard to tell." Soundwave played a recording of Knockout's voice.

"But it is a possibility. Excellent work, Soundwave. Pinpoint the coordinates and send Breakdown to scout out the area for any signs. If the Autobots have her, then we'll make them pay." Megatron commanded his TIC. Soundwave nodded and turned around before walking away.

Megatron watched her leave out of the corner of his optics, and couldn't help but get a lonesome feeling as his optics trailed after her while she exited the room.

"Uhhh—" Amal couldn't find any words to spit out as she was frozen to railing. "Don't mind Miko, she's like a really energetic puppy." Jack said, smiling sheepishly while rubbing the back of his head. "Rude!" Miko said, rolling her eyes.

"I'm Jack, that's Miko, like I said. And this is Raf." Jack said, smiling fully. "Uhh, I'm Emily." Amal said, swinging her legs back over the railing to stand up on the concrete.

"So, how long have you been here? We've been gone for awhile for school and stuff." Miko asked, coming up in front of her. "Like three weeks probably. A little more." Amal answered, leaning against the railing. "Three weeks, three days, 17 hours, 5 minutes, 23 seconds!" Bee stated as he walked up.

"Aw Bee, I'm flattered you remembered." Amal said, putting a hand over her heart. The other three humans eyes widened. "You can understand him?" They said simultaneously. Amal nodded.

"What? Can all of y'all not?" She asked. "Raf can, we can't sadly. They're our translators." Miko said. "Maybe they're both aliens." Jack whispered dramatically while looking between Raf and Amal. 'You have no idea, kid.' Amal thought to herself.

Amal continued talking to the humans, but deep down, her insides kept turning, as an uneasy feeling set off inside her that no one was ready for what was to come, especially her.

Amal stuck her head out the window of Optimus's truck, enjoying the breeze in her face for a few minutes. After it got too cold for her, she sat back down inside and let Optimus roll up the window.

"Thanks dude, this is fun!" Amal said, gazing outside at the stars. "Indeed." Optimus said. "Night driving is like equivalent to those lucid dreams you control, except more beautiful. Everything's so empty and peaceful, it makes you wanna sit there forever." Amal said. Optimus didn't respond, but she felt he agreed still.

"What was Cybertron like, bossbot?" Amal asked gently as possible. Optimus didn't respond for a second, making her worried. Even with Megatron it was a touchy subject. Despite him being a warlord, and most of his subjects murderous beings, the one thing every Cybertronian could agree on was wanting to go home and at least feel comfort again.

"It was...like nothing you have ever seen before." Amal laid across his seats, staring up at his ceiling. She turned the radio volume up two more notches, just enough to have 'Drops of Jupiter' playing in the background while they talked.

"Describe it." Amal asked nicely. "It was just...breath taking. It was glowing, vibrant, filled with life everywhere. It was so clean and carefree, for the most part. But other than that...it was perfect. It was home." Optimus said. "It sounds amazing." Amal whispered.

"It was."

They sat in silence for awhile, but it wasn't uncomfortable silence. Amal continued humming to the radio songs, while Optimus just drove and took a few turns here and there.

"Tell me about your life and home then." Optimus broke the silence. "Well..." Amal thought. "I was abandoned where I was...6 months old by my parents. Some people found me...some really awesome people." Amal said.

"Who are they?"

"They were just...lost people, trying to find their way home when they stumbled upon me...and they took me in, and a lot didn't want to keep me, but their leader looked at me, and I looked at him, and apparently I just grabbed onto his finger and wouldn't let go, and if he pulled away, I'd cry. And it was annoying, so he was forced to let me hold his finger." Amal said before chuckling.

"And so they kept me." She continued. "They raised me, they taught me to fight, they taught me to fix things, they taught me to be smart. They taught me..." Amal paused as she inhaled.

"...to be human."

"But they have enemies, one who don't know about me because if they did, they'd see it as a sign of weakness. And maybe even kill me. I dunno though, I haven't seen their true side." Amal admitted. "Your Family sounds very generous." Optimus said. Amal nodded, grinning at the irony.

"They're the best. But a lot would disagree, but I don't care. They love me, and I love them. That's all I really care about in the world now." Amal stated. "And it is good you do." Optimus said. "Yea, I don't know what I'd do without them."

It was silent before Amal yawned. "Guess we should head back, huh?" She said. "Indeed." Optimus said. Amal rolled onto her side, using her arm as a pillow before drifting off before they could reach the base.
