(Y/n)

Me and Ban get to the bour hat. Stepping inside I see all my friends and neighbors, every I'll miss, except Carl.

I tug on the back of Ban's jacket, trying to hide behind him. I don't feel strong enough to say anymore goodbyes.

"Where am I going to be staying?" I ask, quietly.

"I take you there."

I'm grateful he keeps his voice as low as mine. He guids me through through the room when I accidentally make eye contact with Henry.

I'm so close breaking down and crying, when the old man smiles at me giving me a thumbs up, his eyes gesturing to Ban.

I smile back, playfully rolling my eyes, but as soon as I'm out of his sight I let out a shaky breath. Stumbling into Bans back.

"Are you ok?" Ban asks.

"Yeah..." I frown.

"You still have time to say goodbye later. We aren't leaving yet." He says softly.

"Ok,"

Ban opens the door.
"This is our room."

"Our?" I look around expecting to see more, but it's small with a single bed.

"Lucky you." He smirks, making me sigh.

I look at the floor, thinking it would be easy to get comfortable there, but the spiderwebs and dried mud convinces me otherwise.

"Kill me." I sigh.

"Not happening princess. Don't worry, I'll keep my hands to myself, unless you do want to snuggle." He teases.

"I'll ask king to make me a hammock." I reply.

"That's a good idea."

I sit on the bed, wanting to take deep breaths to relax, but instead start to overthink.

"I'm going to get to work. Try not to feel too trapped." Ban hesitates for a second before leaving.

Flash back
before the sins

"Hey Ban..." I gently steal his attention away from the book he's reading.

"(y/n) what are you doing back here? Not saying I don't love the company. You've just never visited me twice in one day."

"I um... our deal is sorta off." I bite the inside of my cheek, hard trying to prevent my tears.

"What are you talking about?" His eyes widen.

"I, um, my father found out about how often I visit you... and he knows why."

"I didn't tell anyone! I promise! I've kept my end of the deal." He stands up, getting closer to the bars, trying desperately to make me hear that he's innocent.

"No, no, I, um, I know one of the guards overheard me talking about it with you." I explain, trying to calm him down.

"And now you don't need to visit me anymore." He frowns, then clears his throat, trying to put on a more casual expression.
"How did the old man react?"

"He, he tricked me into drinking water from the fountain of youth." I mumble.

"What?"

"I was tricked into drinking water from the fountain of youth." I say more clearly, starting to cry.
"I won't be able die... ever."

"Woah..." He starts to process what I told him, then his eyes land back on my face.
"Hey, hey, is going to be ok."

I look to the floor and continue to cry, when Ban grabbs my hand, gently rubbing his thumb across my knuckles.

"You know, if you live long enough something good will have to happen to you." His soft words hardly help me cheer up.

I just squeeze is hand and continue to cry. There's nothing I'd want to accomplish that would take more than a human life time.

"Where did he get water from the fountain of youth anyway?" Ban dicides to ask, trying to change the tune.

"well, um, my four times great grandmother and her friend found it. They stole almost all of it from the fairy kings forest. They drank it along with a few of their friends. I heard it used to be a full water fall. Now it's just a fountain with a single woman guarding it." I explained after wiping away my tears.

"Wait, if they drank it, where are they now?" Ban asks.

"No one has seen them in years. I only met them once when I was just a little girl there all traveling the world looking for Endarah." I say.

"What's endarah?" He asks.

"Oh, it's a dagger that's supposed to be able kill people that should be impossible to kill." I tell him.

"Maybe they found it." Ban gives me a half smile.

"No, that's impossible. If they found it, then no one would have memory. of their existence, that's what happens when you use Endarah." I explain.

"I guess you're going to try to find it." He frowns.

"yeah, I think so."
