Third Person

"I see your monsters
I see your pain
Tell me your problems,
I'll chase them away
I'll be your lighthouse, I'll make it okay
When I see your monsters
I'll stand there so brave
And chase them all away"

On the ground sat a four year old girl holding her brothers hand. If you care to look closer you will see the truth.

On the ground sat a broken four year old girl. Her hair messy and tear tracks were marked down her porcelain cheeks. She softly sang a song she sang with her two older brothers. She seeked out comfort off her daddy. She held her brothers hand. But her brother was gone. Lifeless. Dead. She didn't want to believe it. She couldn't. But she had to. Her biggest brother was gone and she had to accept that. She wondered where he had been. Has he tried to look for her and Sammy then got bit? Or did it happen when they got separated? She felt lost without him. She clutched her brothers hand like it was a lifeline, trying to remember the warmth and protection that he gave her, trying to feel anything that could indicate that he was still in fact alive and not dead. Nothing. His once shiny apple green eyes were faded,  grey, dull and lifeless and his clean baby face had dirt sweat and blood lathered on it with one huge bite at the side of his neck and a bullet hole right in the centre of his forehead. Shane had shot him. Shane killed Dean in her eyes. Little Diego sat there whimpering, wishing for her brother to come back. Eventually she lay on his chest, still squeezing his hand and closed her eyes. Trying to seek out and regain at least a little comfort from her eldest brother. She didn't even get to say goodbye.

Rick Grimes stood silently next to his wife and son staring at the four year old on the ground. He couldn't imagine the amount of shock and pain the little girl must be in. As soon as she recognised the walker she had sounded so happy to see her brother again. But he grabbed her and she struggled in his grasp. As soon as Shane shot him she went limp in his arms and let out a strangled sob and he let her go. She collapsed to the ground and then lunged over to her brother and turned him over to his back. She gave his cheek a kiss and gave him a huge hug. Rick hadn't really spent much time with the little girl but the time he had she had always cheered him up. Now she had to be happy.

Glenn Rhee. Her Glenny. He was the first one to make a move toward the fragile child. He slowly approached her and sat down next to her. She was laying on her brothers chest mumbling how she had to find Sammy for him and how she's safe and he would have liked it here, how he would have liked her new daddy. He felt guilty for the thing he was gonna do. He picked up the four year old and struggled to lift the now sobbing, kicking and screaming child away from her brother. She was distraught.

Shane Walsh. He saw the struggle that Glenn was having with separating the child from her brother. He walked over to Glenn with his arms extended and he placed the crumbling child in his arms. She whacked him and kicked him at first but he held her tight and eventually gave up and cried and cried into the former polices shoulder. But he didn't mind. She just needed to let it out. She needed someone to cry to.

Daryl Dixon. It was clear to everyone that he wasn't good with expressing his feelings. So as of right now he let everybody else deal with the grieving toddler. He felt as if he was to blame for Sophia and Dean. If he has searched more for that little girl she would be here now with her mother. And as for Dean. Where could he start? She sounded so happy to see him when he came out of that barn. And that was all his fault. He told his Nemo he would find him... he promised her. But it didn't turn out very well did it? Now his toddler was slumped in Shane's arms sobbing her little eyes out at the loss of her eldest brother. He couldn't blame her. If he found his older brother as a walker, he would cry too. Even though he wouldn't admit it out loud. He still had one question whirling around his head. How do you fix what is broken?
