❝jisung, i don't know what to do.❞
The sun was shining sharply through the curtains as it was starting to get high up. The shadows of the trees were casted onto the walls as Jaemin and Jisung were sitting on the bed, talking about what happened at the red bridge.
To Jisung it felt like there was something more bothering Jaemin than just blunt rejection, yet he couldn't put his finger on what it was. The reason must have been important if Jaemin had to call Jisung over at seven am.
Jisung was dreaming deeply that he didn't even hear the phone at first, but when he did start to hear something and saw the caller ID he knew it was urgent and got up as fast as possible, running in his pajamas to Jaemin’s house.
There were times Jaemin had panick attacks or moments when he couldn't decide by himself, or much more of a pleasant scenario- the pink haired couldn't sleep and needed some company.
Jisung loved falling asleep next to Jaemin, just as much as with Chenle. It gave him peace knowing the other is safe and the warmness of another body was soothing.
So to not worsen Jaemin’s condition, he thought well before answering:
❝well first, answer Renjun’s messages. He's probably thinking of all the possible scenarios of how you could have died on that bridge, or worst yet, he is thinking of how you got kidnapped and turned into a slave or something.❞
It took some time for the pink haired to answer, as he couldn't believe what he was hearing.
Sometimes Jisung didn't make sense.
❝you think he has enough time to worry about me while he's with Jeno?❞
❝jaemin, are you stupid? Of course he has! If he didn't, then he wouldn't have sent those messages in the first place.❞ Jisung grimaced. Jaemin was too obvilious.
❝you’re probably right, but... What do i reply? That I'm home safe and sound, but sorry to tell you that i waited for for three hours since you promised to meet me there yet now i am heartbroken and i can probably never confess to you since i know you don't even like me that way?❞
❝you like Renjun!? Why have you never told me this before?! That's why you're so upset about all of that? Renjun being with Jeno i mean. You're jealous!❞
With red cheeks Jaemin franticly shook his head, not wanting the younger to get any more ideas than he already did.
❝im not jealous Jisung, i just wish he'd spend time with me again like he used to.❞
If Jisung could have , then he surely would have hit his face hard with the pillow in his hands, but he told himself mentally that it was far from a good idea.
❝yeah, jealous of Jeno getting the affection you once got.❞ He stated.
❝i thought you were on my side not against me! You're not helping me at all.❞
❝listen, Jaemin, i understand that you're in a pretty bad condition after what happened with Donghyuck, but Renjun actually has no clue what's going on with you. Damn, he probably doesn't even know you two aren't together anymore, although you never were in the first place.❞
To that Jaemin made no reply. He stared empitly at the window and thought his own thoughts. His heart was beating fast from anxiety and he started to feel nauseas. The latter took deep breaths and tried to calm himself down.
As of habit Jaemin looked at his watch, feeling worse. With a breaking voice he said:
❝its soon eight, he's probably waking up, i still have no idea how to reply to his texts.❞
Jisung knew that it was hard for Jaemin, he was probably over thinking and making his lovely mind fill in with those nonsense worries which to jaemin were horrendous.
❝give me your phone, I'll do it myself. I also have things to do.❞
The younger snatched the phone from Jaemin's hands and opened the messages, typing straight away.
Jaemin sighed from relief but then got curious. What could the younger do at such an early time?
❝aah, and what's that? Taking chenle out?❞
❝no, unfortunately not. I promised hyuck I'll go shopping with him, he was going to ask jungwoo, but he had some other plans, so I'm the one suffering.❞ Jisung sadly put the phone on the bed, stood up and smiled a little.
❝I'll leave now. Take care, Jaemin, seriously. I mean it.❞
And so Jaemin was all alone, just like deep in his heart. It felt like there was a hole in his chest where anyone could put their hands through, in which he couldn't even feel anything. Yet the hole weighted a lot, bothering the pink haired more than it should.
He looked at what Jisung had typed, hoping that it wasn't anything stupid.
To his luck it wasn't nearing the ❛terrible texts❜ category.
To injunnie 🌸
Sorry for the late reply, but I'm all okay!
But to Jaemin’s surprise Renjun had already replied and he freaked out, not knowing what to do.
From injunnie🌸
Thank god, jaemin,,, you scared me to death. I though you fell off the bridge or something, but I'm glad you are okay.
You didn't wait long or did you?
❝ah, thank god it was a question, otherwise i don't think i could have found a way to reply.❞ talking to Renjun has never seemed so difficult before. Jaemin felt as if he didn't even know the older's name.
I kind of did, but don't worry about that.
We can talk about what you wanted to talk about in school then,, maybe?
Shaking his head a few tears escaped his eyes.
I think it's better if i don't say anything,,,
You're making me curious, minnie ;^;
That nickname Jaemin hasn't heard in a really long time, last time Renjun called him that was before Hyuck flirted with Jaemin to make Mark feel bad. That's when most people assumed that they were a couple, it didn't help that Hyuck even snuggled into his side during lunch or any time they were together side by side.
Although Jaemin had to admit, the affection Hyuck gave him made his heart flutter. Sometimes he even wished that they were dating, but unfortunately both of them had eyes on someone else.
