So, I watched Captain Marvel, and my I say, it was awesome! I was scared to see it at first due to the mixed reviews the movie had on its head. People kept saying, like Transformers 5 (I think?) it was pushing to much on the feminist side of things. Here I am to disprove that thought with historical evidence! ^^

A lot of people are getting upset with Captain Marvel because of the 'feminazi' talk... which the movie isn't about that at all. Captain Marvel is nice to men, doesn't hate men, and has male friends. People also forget the time period Captain Marvel takes place in. If she's in her early 30s late twenty's in the 1990s, she would have been born and raised in the 60s and 70s where social roles of women were more of stay-at-home and inferior to men. Her parents, at least grew up during the 50s where it was a huge thing for women to be lesser. So her parents were raising her on their ideals brought about by the 50s while kids of the 60s and 70s were trying to break the social role and where the 'edgy' teenagers came from. Captain Marvel was raised in the generation of 50s people trying to conform their 60s and 70s children like they had been. Captain Marvel dove in historically and gives an accurate description of the breaking between parents and teens during this time period. Yet she's not a man hater, she just wants to be viewed as at the same scopes as men. Women were not allowed to fight in combat till very recently (1993) in America, so again, movie has historical accuracies. Yet people hate on it for 'pushing' the feminist thought way to far... and it doesn't. It just shows the accurate description of the time period Captain Marvel takes place.

If you need proof on females pushes to be lesser than makes, look at 50s household advertisements that still carry on today. Vacuums and other at home items are still advertised primarily to females due to the 50s
Here's a whole book on feminine inferiority
"The Good Wife's Guide"... if you have time google and read... oh dear lord is it sexist. So this is what Captain Marvel's parents were raised with. And conformity was a biiiiiig thing in the 50s. So when the 'rebellious' teens came around not wanting to conform like their parents, tensions rose greatly between teens and their parents. Much like Marvel's parents and her. Girls are often told they couldn't do things by the older generation so everything you hear in the movie is actually historically true. Ask anyone who was raised in the 60s and 70s, they can tell you the tensions. Look at the bands that rose like Ozzy Osborne with Black Sabbath, Elton John, Queen, Kiss, Rolling Stones, Elvis Presley. Just watch Forrest Gump even to see the accuracies the movies depict. All the stuff, besides the aliens, where true during this time. The movie is showing what it was like for a woman growing up in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Some parents were open to change, some, like CM's parents, were not.

All in all, it was a Marvelous film and shows a different side to Nick Fury ^^ don't listen to the reviews that were given about how it is overly done on the feministic side, it really isn't. It's historically accurate. I highly suggest watching it so yeah ^^ there's my break down on Captain Marvel. ☺️
