I waved my hand in his face. He sucked his teeth.
"Man sit down"
"No you need to get up."
His head starting nodding. I stood in front of him with my arms crossed.
"Last time it was water.. he gone make set his ass on fire this time."
I mumbled, walking away.

Takeoff
Once I heard her walk away, I got up to go get her gifts out the car. She cant never let nobody surprise her.
"And when-... what's all that?"
She asked, entering the room.
"Jayla appreciation."
I said holding the bags out toward her. She put her hand over mouth, trying to hide her smile.
"Baaaabeee!"
I chuckled and shook my head.
"You appreciate me?"
She asked, wrapping her arms around my neck and kissing my lips.
"Yeah I appreciate you even though you aggravating as hell."
She laughed
"I'm sorry. I know I be stressing you out but I gotta stay on you cause I love you."
"And that's why I appreciate you."
She pecked my lips again.
"Open your gifts."
She sat on the couch and grabbed the Burberry bag.
"Lemme guess. A new Burberry scarf?"
She cheesed
"Yeah since you lost the other one."
"I didn't lose it, I misplaced it."
"Well how bout don't misplace this one."
"I won't."
She said putting the scarf back and setting the bag to the side. She opened the rest of her gifts. It made me happy to see my babygirl happy.
"Thanks babe"
She kissed my lips again and hugged me.
"You're welcome. Now I'll be expecting takeoff appreciation very soon."
She laughed . Maybe this appreciation splurge will keep her ass calm for a while.
