LokiXReader: Your Birthright Was to Die (One-Shot)

                                    

                                          
Loki was on his knees, he looked up at The All-Father, his emerald green eyes were anger, he had just been captured and knew he was going to be sent to prison, he was trying to figure out a plan to escape.
                          
"My Birthright was to be king!" Loki said sternly.
                          
The All-Father stood, "Your Birthright was to die!" He shouted as it echoed around the room.
                          
You walked out from behind the throne, "Please Odin, instead of sending him to prison, let me take care of him" You said.
                          
You were a trusted friend of Frigga's and The All-Father's.
                          
The All-Father turned looking at you.
                          
"I can keep him out of trouble" You said.
                          
The All-Father looked at Loki, "If he gets into any kind of trouble or breaks any laws, it is on you ________" The All-Father said.
                          
The guards pulled Loki to his feet and followed you to your home in the mountains of Asgard.
                          
"You are relieved of your duty of watching him, I can care of him now..." You said grabbing Loki by his chains pulling him into a cave which was also your home.
                          
You pulled Loki into your room and made him sit down on the bed, "You try to get away and I will have to kill you..." You said sternly.
                          
Loki looked at you and slowly nodded.
                          
You unchained Loki and watched him very carefully, "Would you like something to eat or drink?" You asked.
                          
Loki was silent and didn't say a word, just stared at you with his emerald green eyes.
                          
"So your going to be quiet..." You looked at Loki, "Well I will get you something to eat, stay here..." You said getting up walking into the small kitchen, you got a bowl of porridge and walked back into the room.
                          
Loki didn't move at all, just watched you.
                          
You walked up to Loki and got a spoonful of porridge, you were about to put it to Loki's mouth.
                          
Loki suddenly smacked the bowl of porridge onto to the floor.
                          
"Gods can me so rude..." You muttered softly kneeling down trying to clean up the porridge.
                          
Loki stood and grabbed you pinning you to the wall, Loki lifted you up off the ground, he held you against the wall by your neck.
                          
"Mortals are such a pain..." Loki said.
                          
"I am not a mortal" You growled, "I am a Demi-God..." You muttered.
                          
Loki looked at you curiously and suddenly felt a lump of porridge on the side of his head.
                          
You laughed having smacked the porridge on your hand onto Loki's head and face.
                          
Loki let go of you, "That is disgusting!" Loki shouted.
                          
You grabbed Loki tackling him putting a dagger to his throat, "Don't ever grab me like that again" You said sternly.
                          
Loki looked up at you, he grabbed a hand full of porridge smacking you in the side of the head.
                          
You dropped the dagger, "Really..." You muttered softly wiping the porridge off your face, you looked down and saw Loki staring at you.
                          
Loki smiled and chuckled.
                          
You couldn't help but laugh as well wiping the porridge from Loki's face, you licked the porridge from your finger, "This stuff is quite disgusting..." You muttered.
                          
Loki chuckled and looked at you curiously licking his finger as well, "I agree..." He muttered.
                          
You smiled and looked deeply into Loki's eyes blushing, you quickly shook your head.
                          
"Why have you taken me in? I don't even know who you are..." Loki said.
                          
"I took care of you when you were a child, I was your babysitter..." You muttered softly.
                          
"Oh... I remember you now..." Loki smiled a bit, "I always wondered what happened to you all those years ago..." Loki muttered.
                          
"You were worried about me?" You looked at Loki curiously.
                          
Loki nodded and sat up smiling at you, "To be honest, you were my favorite babysitter..." Loki chuckled.
                          
You blushed and looked down.
                          
"But that was a long time ago... I am a different man now..." Loki said.
                          
"You are the same now as you were back then, foolish, mischievous, afraid, scared" You said gently cupping Loki's cheeks, "Still loving, and so sweet, though you are much more handsome now..." You smiled.
                          
Loki looked at you shocked and gently grasped your hand, "I have changed ___________, I am a monster..." Loki muttered sighing sadly.
                          
"Your are not a monster Loki... forget this fantasy of being king! Live your life... with me..." You took a deep breath.
                          
Loki looked at you devastated, "With you?" He asked.
                          
You nodded and smiled a bit, "I-I love you Loki Laufeyson..." You muttered softly.
                          
"___________...." Loki was still utterly shocked.
                          
"I'm sorry..." You muttered.
                          
"For what?" Loki asked.
                          
"Such a foolish thing love is..." You muttered.
                          
"How is love foolish?" Loki asked.
                          
"I am a fool for confessing my love for you, like you would actually love me back..." You sighed sadly.
                          
"What makes you I don't?" Loki asked.
                          
You looked up at Loki, "You could have changed in ways I have not yet found out..." You sighed.
                          
Loki leaned and kissed you passionately, "Love is not foolish, the heart can be foolish sometimes... because the heart cannot bear to be tricked and broken..." Loki whispered.
                          
You gasped and lovingly wrapped your arms around Loki's neck, "Would you ever fool my heart?" You asked.
                          
"Never, would I even think of it..." Loki whispered leaning in kissing you again, "I would never, ever break your heart, I wouldn't even dream of it.." Loki whispered to you holding you close.
