She appeared at their camp and she took in her surroundings. Lost boys, Peter, unconscious Henry and Baelfire. "I thought I taught you better, never break in somewhere unless you know the way out!" Peter's wonderful voice, with a similar accent to Atarah herself, spoke.
"And you're forgetting who taught you that!" Atarah said with a small smirk as Baelfire sighed in relief. She'd help him and Henry, or so he thought. Peter smirked over at her.
"I'll remember that next time!" Baelfire told Peter.
"Well, there isn't going to be a next time. But don't blame yourself. Your father could have protected you out here, sure. But then who would've protected Henry from him? Talk about a rock and a hard place!" Peter said, as his eyes darted over to Atarah ever so often, who was now sitting to the side them, watching.
"I will get my son back, no matter what it takes!" Baelfire said. "Besides, Atarah is on our side now!"
Atarah laughed from the floor, making Peter smirk. "You're not getting it!" He said with furrowed brows. "That's not the problem. You got him, I got him back!" He looked to Atarah. "What is it, love?"
Atarah feigned a thoughtful look and put her index finger to her chin. "Hmmm, a game?" She asked.
"Yes, love! It is!" He smiled at her. Peter then turned to Baelfire. "No, my boy, the real problem for you is that there is no escaping Neverland. No one gets off this island without my permission!"
Baelfire was feeling a little sour and attacked. He had trusted Atarah and they were friends, why would she betray him and everyone else like this! She was treated well, and everyone was civil with her. Then it clicked, maybe him and Atarah weren't just friends, but lovers. He wanted to bite back at Pan, so the perfect snark made its way into his mind.
"I've done it!" Baelfire said cockily. "And my father took Atarah from you, did he not?"
Peter's eyes were full of fire and rage, but Atarah stood up and placed a hand on his shoulder and leaned in to whisper to him. "He doesn't know what he's talking about, darling! Ignore his stupid comment!" She whispered before she kissed his cheek, making all the lost boys smile softly and making Felix smirk at the two.
"Did you?" Peter asked Neal, completely fine now, having ignored his comment. "Look where you are now. It's like you never left!"
"You saying you let me go?" Baelfire asked Peter in confusion.
"I'm saying everyone's where I want them. Except for Atarah, of course, but once this is all over, I can have you exactly where I want you!" Peter told her as he looked over at her with a small smirk, making Baelfire wrinkle his nose in disgust.
Henry let out a groan. "Something to chew on. You know where to take him!" Peter announced. Felix, who had Henry over his shoulder, began to walk. So Baelfire ran at Peter full of rage, making Atarah hold her hand up lazily, stopping Baelfire in his tracks.
"Yeah, no! You're not taking another step!" She said with a small shrug.
Baelfire look at her with an expression of hurt and betrayal. "Atarah, what are you doing? We used to be friends! You're good, don't let them take Henry!" He told her, only able to move his mouth.
"That was a long time ago, I changed. And, to be honest, I'm not a good guy. I've already told Regina if I had a choice between saving you lot or stopping you from harming Peter, I'd undoubtedly take the latter!" She shrugged, this made Peter secretly smile softly at the girl beside him.
"Oh, don't worry. It won't be for very long. Just until I reset the board. See, the game is about to change!" Peter said as some lost boys dragged Neal away from the two of them, leaving them alone. "I wish you would come back to my camp!" Peter told her as they both sat down next to each other.
"You know I want to come back to your camp, but I can't. They know nothing of, our complex relationship!" She told him as she put her head in his shoulder. "I don't want them to use it as an advantage. Because, that Emma is a bitch and would use you against me. Regina would just make snide comments!"
"Isn't Emma your goddaughter?" He asked her as he wrapped his arm around her.
"Yes, I don't even know why!" She shrugged.
"She wouldn't be able to use me against you. She'd have to catch me first!" He winked down at her making her roll her eyes with a small laugh.
"Don't underestimate her, Peter. She'd probably have some weird and twisted way to get you, then she'd use you against me to get Henry back! And the both of us don't want that!" She told him with a heavy sigh.
He made her look at him. "Atarah, you know she won't get me! So you needn't worry about that!" He told her softly.
"What if she did?" She asked him with a raised brow. "Then I'd have to kill every single person involved in the kidnapping, drawing out, holding and the person who thought it'd be a good idea. And, I can't kill them all! I mean, I've lived with them the past years and have helped them the past year or so!" She sternly told him with a small glare.
Peter loved Atarah with all his heart and knew that she was his one weakness. The lost boys knew he loved her, she was basically the Queen of Neverland, but he knew she wasn't that fond of being called that. He knew Atarah loved him, she just didn't know it yet, he knew she was inexperienced in what love was and that was why it was taking her longer to realise it. He didn't mind though, he knew they loved each other and she knew deep down that they loved each other.
"Love, they won't be able to catch me. I promise you!" He told her before he planted a kiss on her forehead.
"I hope not!" She said as she wrapped her arms around his body and pulled herself close to him, hugging him. "Or they'd be a lot of deaths!"
"Like Raven Hood's?" Peter asked her as he let his chin rest on her head. She chuckled slightly.
"Darling, I believe you're remembering wrong, you killed her!" She told him.
"After you told me to!" He pointed out.
"Well, obviously! Someone had to pay for what her brother did, and that Robin had a child! We couldn't kill him!" She shrugged. He kissed her head.
"You know, her brother searched for you for years after the death of his sister, right?" He asked her. She nodded.
"Apparently, he's gone to someone to try and get her brought back to life. It didn't work!" She laughed lightly as she pulled from the hug and faced him.
"Even if it did, I wouldn't let you die!" Peter told her as he looked back to where the rest of the boys went. She understands the look, he had to go.
"It's ok, you can go! It'll be fun, right here on my lonesome." She told him as she sat on a log and picked at her nails. He looked over at her and walked forwards and pressed his lips onto hers, giving her a passionate kiss, something to remember him by. As he wasn't sure when he could call her to him again. He pulled away and left her sitting on the log and she waited for the others to get back.
