"How about I take you out for breakfast?" Roger whispered in my ear. I batted my eyes "I'd like that".
Brian was tuning his guitar but jumped up when the door was swung open, it was John being scurried forward by Freddie "we're back!".

John walked to Brian and Freddie got out a bunch of papers "John and I wrote something and now we can finally all play it!".

"Actually" Roger hopped off the couch and went to put on his jacket "Helena and I were just heading out".
Freddie's smile faded "don't be ridiculous, Roger. You bailed on practice yesterday as well..."
Roger handed me my coat "well Fred, I'd love to stay but we need to eat, ya know."
Freddie put his hands on his hips "just because you have a girlfriend does not mean you can just disregard us whenever you want, Taylor!"
"Oooh, the last name..." Roger chuckled mockingly.

I was torn. I thought it was a little rude of Roger to just leave when they needed him, but I really, really wanted to go on an actual date with him for the first time.

Freddie spread his arms, blocking the doorway from Roger "John! You say something!".
John looked startled "uhm".
He stood up, hesitantly, and put his hands on his hips just like Freddie "you need to stay Roger!".

Roger laughed "are you joking? Come on, guys, we will be back soon..."
He tried to push past Freddie but Fred wouldn't allow it "you want to go? You'll have to go through me." He stated.
Roger rolled his eyes "you're being dramatic, Fred."

When Roger realized Freddie really wasn't gonna let him get by, he turned around and looked at the others and me "...fine..." he sighed.

"That's what I thought..." Freddie said while he started to walk away from the door, but suddenly Roger grabbed my hand and sprinted us out the bar.
Freddie shouted "Hey!".

When we were out of sight we stopped running. Roger and I laughed but I still felt a little concerned "I don't want you to ditch your friends for me".
Roger sniffed "they'll be fine... It's not like any of them haven't done the exact same thing"
"Like who?" I asked.
We were walking at a normal pace now, still holding hands, while the morning sun left spots of light through the trees.
"Like John... and Fred himself is always late, so I don't know why he's complaining."

Roger let go of my hand to light a cigarette. He took a long drag and offered me the cig.
I took it a quick drag and coughed a little "that's... kinda disgusting..."
Roger laughed heartily and swiftly grabbed my hand again, intertwining our fingers.
He took a drag "well I like it and it can't be that bad".
"A lot of people say it's really bad" I said.
Roger didn't say anything he just enjoyed the sun on his face with the cig in the corner of his mouth.
"And it smells" I chuckled.
Roger clicked his tongue and suddenly trew the cigarette away.
Then he kept walking like nothing had happened.

I smiled, grabbed his jaw and kissed him.
When I let go he smiled at me.
I smacked my lips "hm tastes smoky..."
"Smoking hot you mean" Roger laughed as he suddenly dipped me like a professional dancer.
"Oh god" I laughed.

Roger gave me a kiss on my nose "let's go eat love".
