Travis couldn't sleep at all. He would go back to the same event everytime. He didn't want to go home in fear that Pat would be there. Sal let him stay on his room clearly worried about the boy. Larry was in the living room sighing. "Sal he isn't going to bed any time soon." Sal shakes his head. "He has to Larry." Larry faces Sal looking tired. "Did you fall asleep after that event Sal?" Sal shakes his head looking down at the ground. "Exactly. I'm going to bed. You'll just have to calm him down Sal." Larry gets up heading out of the apartment. Hearing the door to the apartment open and close startled Travis.
You'd think his dad's abuse would haunt him for life. Instead it's this sexual assault by Pat haunting him. Sal opens the door slowly looking in the room. What he saw broke his heart. Travis was hugging his legs tight to his chest. His eyes were red and his cheeks were stained by his tears. He was in the corner of the bed looking at Sal. "Hey Travy... You okay?" Travis looks at Sal backing away into the corner. In his eyes he thinks it's Pat coming towards him. "Get away from me!" He looks away fresh tears falling down his cheeks. "Travis. It's me Sal."
Travis looks back at Sal blinking. He gets out of the corner getting off the bed. He walks towards Sal hugging him tightly. Sal hugs back patting his back gently. "Why don't we get you changed Travis." Travis lets go looking down. Sal turns around taking out some clothes. He gives Travis pants. Travis takes off his shirt and pants. He puts on the pants Sal gave him feeling much better. Sal takes off his shirt. He replaces his pants with new ones. They both get into the bed. Travis hugs Sal slowly drifting to sleep. He mumbles in his sleep. "I love you..." Sal heard it blushing. He turns around to face the blonde kissing his forehead. "I love you too..." Sal drifts off to sleep in Travis's arms.
Travis was in front of Sal with a smile. He opens his arms for a hug. Sal hugs him only to fall through him. He fell to the ground prosthetic first. He gets up looking up seeing Travis in chains with an upside down cross on his forehead. The cult was behind him chanting something. Tears fell from the blonde's eyes. The tears fell onto Sal. Sal couldn't speak or move anymore. A light flashed. All he heard was screaming coming from Travis. Sal then sees the cult with Travis's dad and mom. He stares seeing them stabs the wife before stabbing the husband. "You shouldn't have gotten soft ----"
Sal wakes up breathing heavily. He looks over to Travis seeing him sleep so peacefully. Sal smiles softly touching Travis's cheek. This woke up the blonde. He rubs his eyes looking at Sal. "Sorry if I woke you up." Travis waves it off yawning. "It's okay." Sal sits up to stretch his body out. Travis does the same thing. They both look at eachother catching eye contact. "Sal... I'm not going to go out to-" Sal interrupts him with a sigh. "Travis I'm not letting you stay inside all day."
Travis looks down at his legs. "Let's just hang with the others at the park. We won't let anything happen to you." Travis gets gets off bed staring at the ground. "Travis..." He looks at Sal trying not to frown. "Fine..." Sal pushes him playfully before getting off the bed. They both get dressed (in Sal's clothes) before Ash came to the door. Sal opens the door noticing that she had an outfit for Travis. Before he could say anything, she barges in dragging Travis back into the room. He could hear Travis yelling of denial and Ash scolding him or something. Since when did they become friends?
Larry walks into the apartment with no introduction. He asks questions looking at Sal's door. "Ash is changing him... I don't recall what the outfit looked like." Ash exits the door throwing petals in the air as Travis exits the room also. "Introducing Travis!" Travis's face was red. He was now wearing a red off the shoulder shirt, a white skirt with a cross on it, black knee high socks, and turquoise converse. Larry glares at Ash while Sal's face grew red. Ash the reaches into the bag taking out a black boater hat with a pink lace around it into a bow. She places it on Travis's head.
"Ash I'm not a girl!" Travis's eyes were closed due to embarrassment. Ash waves it off looking at Travis's body figure. "You're body makes you look like a girl." Sal raises his hand then moves it down. "You guys told me that all the time. Yet I don't see you putting me in girl clothes." He says sounding jealous. Ash rolls her eyes looking at Sal. "Someone is jealous." Larry points out. Sal's face couldn't get anymore red. Travis opens his eyes feeling someone grab his wrist. He yells out help pulling his wrist away. Everyone looks at him. Sal apologizes before walking close to the blonde. "Would it be okay if I held your hand instead?" Travis nods his head grabbing onto Sal's hand immediately.
They intertwine fingers while heading out the apartment to the elevator. Larry stares at their hands sadly. Ash notices and rubs his back gently. I guess they forgot to change Travis. Why? Because Travis started screaming noticing again that he was in a skirt. "It's already too late Trav. You have to deal with it now." Travis hugs Sal's arm scared for life. Now guess what arm he's hugging.
If you guessed the one they're holding hands, you guessed right. They exit the complex chatting. They head to the park laughing and talking. Travis spotted swings immediately running towards them. He sits down with a smile. It reminds him of when he was a kid. Larry goes behind him pushing him. Sal sat in the other swing with Ash swinging him. Travis went back to holding onto the blue haired boy's hand.
He never lets go with a smile of happiness forgetting what had happened the other day.
