Izzy's POV:

"I'm home, Izzy! Let's do this!" Alex called, loudly closing the door behind him as he entered our new apartment. Duke jumped out of his spot on the bed and rushed towards the main door, barking like crazy in the process. He'd grown bigger in only a matter of days, which made us worry due to the fact that we thought we weren't going to have enough space for him. Anyways, we were told Great Danes grow up at a very high speed, and even though Duke was a month older now, he was still as clumsy with his legs as the first day I'd seen him.

"I'm coming, Al!" I yelped, making my way out of our new bedroom. With Duke's incorporation to our little family, Alex and I decided to move out into a bigger apartment and make a brand new start, but the fun fact was that we moved everything from LA to London. We didn't want our probable future child to grow up in such a hectic city, but neither Alex nor I could stay away from civilization due to our jobs. London seemed just perfect. We were living in a calm neighbourhood and we were closer to Sheffield and our parents now, which meant that they were going to have the chance to visit our kid more often.

"Hey, mate!" Alex chirped, leaning down to take Duke in his arms. "Aw, I missed you too!"

"Hey" I breathed out, giving Alex a kiss on his cheek. "How did it go with Miles?"

"It was alright" Alex answered. "Let's check if you're pregnant first and then we'll talk about anything you want. I'm dying here" I giggled.

"And what makes you think I'm not? I've been dying for the whole day while I waited for you"

"Less talking, more action, McCarthey" Alex ordered, setting Duke on the ground.

"Man, I have to get the test done first"

"And what are you waiting for? Go!" Alex urged me.

"Alright! Alright!" I squeaked, stepping towards the bathroom. "Aren't you excited?"

"I'll feed Duke whilst you get the test done. Put yourself to work!" I rolled my eyes at him but simply kept making my way forwards, getting the pregnancy test out of the bathroom's cabinet and heaving in a big sigh. I'd been having symptoms for about two weeks now, and when I mentioned it to Alex, he made me promise I was going to wait for him to see the results of the test. We were both so anxious about this we could barely hide our enthusiasm.

"I'm done, Al!" I yelled, stepping out of the bathroom.

"And?" Alex inquired as he walked towards me.

"We have to wait now, silly" I smiled at him.

"Fuck, how much more does life want me to keep on waiting?" Alex groaned.

"We'll live through it" I cheered him up.

"Yeah" Alex sighed, wrapping his arms around me and bringing me closer to his chest as he laid a kiss on the top of my head. "Whatever happens, Izzy, we'll just keep going, okay?" I nodded, letting him touch his lips to mine just as I heard the pregnancy test beeping. I jumped up in surprise and fixed my eyes on Alex's intensely, stepping backwards and looking towards the bathroom's door.
