Chapter Nineteen: Strong

Start from the beginning

The sirens of the police cars began to dim, as I walked away from the club. I did need to clear my head a bit, all this was getting too much to handle. Telling my friends that I'm a Witch, and finding out Jackson was the Kanima and not knowing about it. I see him everyday in school and I had no clue, was I that blind?

It was going to be a long walk home, at least I had things to think about...

The next day began, my heels clicked against the marble flooring of the school hallway, my bag over my shoulder. The hallway was quiet as people were in class. I began to take notice that there were a few new cameras in the hallway and between floors. It made me slightly uncomfortable that more cameras were being added, meaning that the hunters that basically run the school could keep an eye on us.

I walked some more, my face tiling away from the camera that I passed. Luckily, I made my way to English class which was close by. I entered to see Allison already sitting, waiting nervously of sorts for Scott or I. As I walked further into class, my heels clicked on the floor, making Allison shoot her gaze up to meet me. She gave me a worried expression. Just as I began to sit in my seat, to the right of Allison Scott had entered, minding his own business as he came and sat in his seat.

"Scott," she whispered to him, but didn't hear her. "Scott," she states more forcefully, as she stood from her seat, leaning on his desk. We all heard the class room door close, as we all looked to see who entered.

Allison's mother walked further into the classroom, like an elegant woman. "I'm afraid your teacher was feeling ill today, and had to leave early," she began, going over to the teacher's desk, before standing in front of it and sitting on it. "So, unfortunately, you're stuck with me as a substitute," her eyes locked to our group. Allison, Scott and I, this wasn't going to be great.

"Can anyone catch me up to speed on where we are?" She asked so innocently, searching the classroom for someone to answer her. Before she locked eyes with Scott. "Mr. McCall, how 'bout you?" Scott didn't say anything but just grabbed his notepad from his bag and placed it on the table as he clears his throat.

This was going to be a long lesson...

An hour had passed and now it was four o'clock. Suddenly, the bell rang out letting us all know it was the end of the day. Student's began to chatter among themselves and one another as they packed their things up and left their seats to leave the class.

Everyone had left the class Allison and I were the last two about to leave the room. "Allison," she states in her motherly but serious tone, making Allison stop. I carried on walking, giving her a hopeful look before exiting the class. I turned to the right, pressing my back against the wall, just outside the classroom, waiting for her.

"We've noticed quite a few calls from your phone to the odd one," she paused for a moment. "Stilinski," at least she didn't mention my name. Allison must delete our message and she phones Stiles if she needs.

"Oh, you told me to keep an eye on Lydia, and, um, he's had a crush on her since, like, third grade, so, I'm gonna have to talk to him," Allison replied to her mother, telling her the truth. I hear Allison turn to leave the classroom.

"I know it's hard...Sitting here...Trying not to lat at him," Allison's mother began, as she stood from her chair. "But think of how strong it makes you," I hear her heels click as she makes her way to Allison. "Especially when all these other girls are just letting their entire high school lives be defined by some boy they're just praying will take them to senior prom,"

"Can't I be strong and go to prom?" Allison asked.

"Of course," her mother slightly chuckled. "But with someone else," I hear her heels click on the floor as they move closer to the door. "Remember, so long as you stay strong, we won't have to kill a 16-year-old boy," Allison's mother states in a dark tone making me shiver at her tone. Supernatural creatures aren't as bad as an angry mother. Especially if it's an Argent...

Allison now left the classroom, looking to her right to see me pressed against the wall as she came over. We began to walk down the hallway. "God, I wouldn't like to be on your mother's bad side," I said jokingly, but there was a hint of truth behind my voice. Allison locked eyes with me, holding back a chuckle, as I shook my head at him. I needed to tell her about her Dad. "Allison, your Dad kind of saw me. Well, I showed myself to him when I went after Derek," I said sheepishly, as we both stopped in the middle of the hall.

"Did he say anything?! Do anything?!" She asked, clearly worried, as she stared at me.

"No, he couldn't because Jackson tried to kill him again. I was out of sight by then," I replied, as she looked like she was calming down with my answer. "Did he mention me at all?"

"No, he mentioned nothing to me," Allison states, as we began to walk once again. "How did you run after Derek the other night?" The question was so unexpected, that I came to a halt, thinking of a possible answer that sounded believable.

"How do you think," I gave her a cheeky wink as I wiggled my fingers at her, smirking, as I turned and walked away. Allison hot on my tail...

She wasn't ready to know about my other-side yet...

But when will they be?
