We stared blankly at the guard, neither of us knowing what to say. Lisa was the first to pull herself together and spoke out.
"Sorry, is this a joke? 'Cause if it is, I'm not finding it very funny." The bodyguard let out a small laugh.
"No, I can assure you, this isn't a joke. The request for you to join the band was made by Mr. May. Now I'm afraid I'll have to push for an answer, we don't have all night. Would you like to join them backstage?"
Lisa didn't even look at me before answering. "Yes! We would love to!"
She clapped her hands in excitement and jumped up and down. The bodyguard nodded his head and asked us to follow him. He advised us to walk very close to him, and so we did. We could feel the jealous looks of everbody else as we made our way towards the door."Why did those sluts get to go in there?" A redhead with a thick scottish asked her friend, and as much as I would've wanted to tell her off, I was afraid I'd get left behind.
Once we reached the door into the building the bodyguard stayed outside to make sure no unwanted guests got in. As the door closed behind us Lisa and I were left completely alone in the empty hallway.
"Soo... Now what?" I asked her and she shrugged her shoulders. We didn't have to wait for long, until a very familiar curly mop of hair appeared from behind the corner.
"Hello ladies! How lovely of you to join us." Brian said with a lovely smile and hugged us both. We both glady hugged him back and introduced ourselves to him. Lisa shot me a look that was so filled with joy that it made me smile. "So, we were told that you requested that we get asked to come here. Might I ask why?" I ask him playfully as he begins to guide us towards the room where they were all hanging out in.
"Oh, right! Well let's just say that your little exchanging of looks with Deacy wasn't left unnoticed. He's always been really shy so we knew that he could never have the balls to ask you to join us, so I did it for him." He said laughing. I gave him a smile before Lisa grabbed me by my arm.
"Wait, so you were flirting with him? I thought you just made him smile once!" She shout-whispered into my ear.
"Well I did! Except I kind of made him smile multiple times... He looked a bit lost up there and I was just trying to make him smile." I whisper back to her, right before Brian stopped at a door. "Alright ladies, here is the glorious space that we get to call our backstage. Please, make yourselves at home." He said and gestured towards a room at the very end of the hall. I followed into the room and the first thing I could see was a shirtless Roger Taylor playing air guitar with one leg on the back of a black leather couch. When I looked to the right, I saw Freddie sitting on a different couch, drinking champagne and laughing. I looked around the small room to find the quiet man I got to see smile earlier. The room truly was small. There were three black leather couches and a small white table in the middle. And obvioulsy, there was a bar. Then I spotted him, sitting by the bar with a beer bottle in his hand.
Freddie was the first one to notice us as we walked in. He immediately shot up from his seat and greeted us with open arms. "Hello darlings. So nice of you to join us. Please come inside and make yourselves comfortable. The bar is very much open for you to get anything you might want." He said and hugged the both of us.
Roger had now stopped his intense air guitar playing and was also coming to greet us. "Hello girls, you're looking fit!" He said and gave us a crooked smile.
Brian rolled his eyes at Roger's obvious attempt to hit on us, clearly used to him hitting in girls that joined them backstage. Lisa did not mind the attention Roger was giving him and flirted back by saying
