Yeeun's POV:

"Yeeun! Mingi's here!" My mom called up to me from downstairs. I took a deep breath, hoping Mingi was still in the same good mood as earlier before we left school.

Slowly, I walked downstairs. Mingi was giving my mom a hug and quickly kissed her cheek in the process. If only he could treat me like that all the time...

Looking up, he smiled at me and I let out a tiny sigh of relief. As far as I could tell, he was still in a good mood. I just hoped I wouldn't mess that up tonight. Of course, he wouldn't do anything to hurt me in front of my mom. He puts up an act whenever she's around. To her, Mingi is a perfectly loving boyfriend who wouldn't do a thing to hurt me. I wish she knew the truth beneath that charming smile of his.

"Hey, sweetheart," Mingi said, walking over and pecking my lips. "Hey," I replied, smiling softly at  him. "Dinner won't be ready for another half an hour, or so. You kids can just hang out until them." My mom said to us.

I frowned. I didn't want to be alone with Mingi for half an hour. What if I do or say something to make him mad during that time?

"Okay," I replied before she headed back to the kitchen. I wanted stay downstairs so I wouldn't have to be alone with Mingi, but when he grabbed my hand and started leading me up the stairs, I knew I was out of luck.

Once we were in my room, Mingi shut the door, making me nervous. He let go of my hand and moved his up to stroke his thumb against my cheek. I tried not to flinch when he did so.

"Are you feeling better?" He asked, referring to earlier when I told him about the awful day that he caused. "Yeah," I said, nodding. He smiled. "Good. I hate to see you upset."

I tried not to scoff at his comment. If he hated to see me upset, then he wouldn't treat me the way he does.

Leaning in, he kissed my forehead, his soft lips touching my skin gently. I closed my eyes, taking in the moment. When he's gentle like this, I try to soak it up as much as I can because most of the time, he's the complete opposite of this.

Pulling away, Mingi leaned his forehead against mine and wrapped his arms around my waist with a small smile on his face. "I love you so much," he whispered. I managed a smile in return. "I love you too, Mingi."

Reaching up, I wrapped my arms around his neck. I was really enjoying this moment and indulging in it. Any other couple most likely has moments like this all the time. But for me, I'm lucky to even hear an 'I love you'. And Mingi's said it twice today. Despite our rocky argument this afternoon, I would consider this a good day for me and Mingi. If only it could stay like this.

"What are you thinking about?" Mingi asked, tearing me from my thoughts. I swallowed, wondering how I should answer him. A majority of the time, it's the things I say that upset Mingi. Lately, I've learned to be extra careful with what I say and how I say it.

"Just about how happy I am right now," I said, semi-honestly. His smile widened and he leaned down, kissing me again. This was much more passionate that the quick peck I received when he got here.

"I'm happy too, baby," he whispered against my lips as he pulled away. "Really?" I blurted, pulling away fully. I didn't mean to blurt, but I wanted to have confirmation that he was truly in a good mood. That meant it was less likely that I'd get hurt tonight.

He chuckled. "Yes, really," he confirmed, wrapping me tighter in his arms. Grinning, I rested my head on his firm chest and took in his intoxicating scent that made me go weak in the knees.

Mingi moved one of his hands up to rub my back and I tensed up, wincing at his touch. My back still hurt from him throwing me against the lockers earlier. He took notice of my discomfort and pulled away.
