"I was hoping you would be glad to see Basma." Khalifa spoke resting his back on the chair. He observed Abdullah who couldn't even seat. He was thinking of a way to tell his brother but he didn't even know where to begin.
"You shouldn't have brought Basma here." Abdullah shook his head. Finally resting his feet on the hand of the chair. "Basma? Why? She is our sister why are you avoiding your own blood." Khalifa asked specking very softly to his junior brother.
"Basma and Yushrah are the reason for Ihsan's accident." Khalifa felt his world sink in. "What do you mean?." Abdullah sighed. Thinking of how to form his next words.
"They pushed her down the stairs." Khalifas brows shot up. The anger within him couldn't seat anymore. His back went off is seat as he brows still remained knotted. "How? Why?."
"I thought the same thing. Why? And that is not even the bad part the worse thing is they left her there for dead. If i hadn't come back home on time. We wouldn't even be discussing this. They wanted to kill her. They are murderers and i don't want her any where near her. Please Khalifa take her away."
"Did you ask her?. "
"Ask what?"
"Why she- I mean why they did that." I shook my head. "They denied doing anything. I spoke to them but they didn't admit they didn't even apologise. All i know is that Ihsan complained about Basma and i saw it with my own eyes when Umma was busy siding with her. So i sent her back to the hostel not a week after i came home seeing Ihsan by the stairs covered in blood. Where they angry because i sent basma back to school or what?. What ever it is, I feel like i don't know them anymore. I want them out of my life and out for good."
"Including Umma?." Abdullah sighed staring at nothing. "Of course not i don't know if she had anything to do with it. So that is why i just thought it's best if they all went back to kastina and stayed there. I don't know who to trust again."
"Why didn't you tell me. Da na mita duuka. Su biyu. And when i met Umma she spoke as if they didn't do anything, she sided them again. Even know it Seems like she didn't know what they did and none of them told her."
"And you see. She turned a blind eye acted like she didn't know Basma came that day. So i got her a car back to kastina." Abdullah was furious. He hated talking about this. It makes him very angry. Knowing his own blood could do that.
"Are you sure she knew Basma was around you know Basma is snoopy this house is a mansion someone can be living here and you wouldn't even know. She might not have known, Did you tell Baba?." He shook his head folding his arms. "If baba knows he might have another stroke so i didn't bring it to his attention. I just told him Ihsan had an accident. "
"Let me get her here she has to explain-" khalifa stood up.
"No. I don't want anyone to know about this issue. Maybe when everyone is unavailable so i can deal with that girl the way i want to." Abdullah added grinting his teeth
