"I'm tired." I state. Pheonix rolls over and glares at me.

"So am I. Why don't you go to sleep and put us both out of our misery?" He growls. I shrug.

"Maybe because I don't like the idea of a Vampire's teeth in my neck while I'm sleeping. Or maybe because you decided to join me in the bed." I reply, turning my head to the side so I faced him. He was grinning, propped up on one arm.

"Oh really? Then maybe I should just do this." He teases, letting his head drop on my stomach, pervishly close to my chest. I widen my eyes.

"Don't...do..that!" I choke out, pushing at him. He doesn't budge, just smirks up at me.

"Your heart is beating funny." He informs. I glare and give up, laying back and trying to go to sleep. It's hard though, because of the awkward tension in the room, and the weight on my stomach.

"Can you please?" I ask, struggling to push him off again. He rolls off of me, but wraps his arms around my waist, forcing me to lay on his chest. I glare at him.

"Wasn't that what you meant?" He asks innocently. I harden my glare and he rolls his eyes. "Oh relax. It's not like I'm going to try anything. You're a human. That'd be gross." I gape at him and he winces. "Oops, sorry! I didn't mean it like that! Just think about it like this, we're two different species, that'd be like me trying something with an ape or a chimp or something-" I try in vain to get off of him.

"I'm not some animal you know!" I snap, struggling to get out of his grip.

"I know, I'm so sorry, I meant maybe like a fox trying something with a wolf. Similiar species, but not compatible that way, and creepy to think about." Pheonix rushes, letting me go. I roll over to the furthest edge and slither under all the sheets so that I'm lying against the bare mattress. "Come on, Dominic, I didn't mean to offend you. Plus, I'm freezing, and the blankets are doing nothing. Can you pleeeasse come back over here?" He pleads. I shoot out and glare at him, pinning his arms down and using his own shock against him.

"Do not ever call me Dominic. Do you understand me?" I demand, shaking his shoulders roughly. Pheonix nods and I let go of him, laying down with my head on his chest. His arms hesitantly wrap around my waist, but when I don't protest or squirm, Pheonix tightens his grip and lets out a whoosh of air.

"Night, Dom."

"Night, Pheonix."

"Back off dude." Pheonix.

"I smell human." Unfamiliar voice.

"She's our half sister, Dad's affair with the human, remember? And raised outside of here. She's got human eyes and a human scent, but she's got some Vampire qualities." Pheonix.

"She smells good." Unfamiliar voice.

"Back. Off." Pheonix growls. I turn over and rub my eyes in exhaustion.

"Good Morning! What's your name sweetpea?" I open my eyes to see someone who has Pheonix's face plus dark stubble across his jaw, a slight mustache, and  longer, messier hair. The eyes are identical. The age is barely noticable.

"You're Pheonix's older brother?" I ask, fighting back a yawn. He smirks.

"Yep, I'm Mackay." He says. His voice was rough with Pheonix, but cool and soothing as he talks to me.

"Son of the fiery one." I state. Mackay narrows his eyes at me.

"How do you know what my name means?" He asks, suspicious. I shrug and smirk.
