I decided that I was going to do an angsty chapter. I don't know why I was just lying in my bed this morning and thinking up some scenarios and this popped up. In this one the reader is Iida's girlfriend. Hope you like it!

It was currently the weekend, as class 1-A was getting ready to have a day, full of getting to spend time with their classmates. Some of them agreed very easily, while others needed some begging.

It was time for them to watch a movie and some of them were already on their chosen seats, but the rest wanted some snacks and drinks. Of course, those who were already seated were too lazy to stand up and get them on their own, with the excuse 'This is the perfect spot. If I stand up, someone will take it!' plus a pout for a charm.

Everything was going great. Until...

Everybody was enjoying the movie until someone's ringtone ruined it. (Y/n) stood up from her seat, her eyes going over the unknown number. She was confused to say the least. "Sorry guys. I think I have to get this."

"It's okay. We'll stop the movie and wait for you." Uraraka said. She was getting a few angry stares from her classmates, because, well... It was kind of the most interesting part of the whole thing.

"Thanks." She said, a little bit scared of the intensity in the ones who stared. Yup, she would make sure to not do something like that again if she wants to live.

(Y/n) answered the phone before the caller hung up and was met by a woman's voice. Something was wrong. Her voice didn't sound pleasant at all. "(Y/n) (L/n)?"

"Yes, that's me." She said, worry laced in her voice. She did not like this one bit. Her classmates noticed her worry and turned their full attention to the girl. "Who is calling?"

"I am a doctor in Hosu General Hospital." (Y/n)'s blood ran cold. "I am sorry to say that your adoptive parents have passed in a car accident." The woman on the other side of the phone told her the news in an apologetic tone.

That was it. She felt her knees starting to break. How could they be dead? There was no way! This was a joke! A terrible, terrible joke!! It had to be a joke!... Right...?

"T-thank you for telling me." And she hung up. She stared at her phone with no emotion. Right now she felt nothing. She felt empty. Yes, they were her adoptive parents, but they were there for her when her biological ones weren't. She loved them. She would have done anything and everything for them. And now they were gone.

"(Y/n)?" At one point Iida came up to her and put a hand on her shoulder. That was when she couldn't hold back anymore. It was as if she was shot back to reality. At this point, her legs gave up on her. She started to fall down, but Iida caught her before she met the ground. Her eyes started pooling with tears as she couldn't hold them back.

Iida hugged her tightly while everybody was panicking. Their classmate was in ruins, screaming and crying her eyes out. What was happening?

That was what Iida wanted to know too, so he decided to ask her without beating around the bush. That was only going to make it harder for her, it seemed.

"(Y/n), l-look at me." He said it the calmest voice he could muster. The boy was so worried, his voice was trembling as well. "W-what happened?"

"T-t-their g-gone, I--Iida! T-they...j-j-just.." the girl was sobbing so much, she had a hard time formulating a simple sentence. Her hiccups and heavy breathes were the only thing making noise in the lounge, as everybody was just staring at the duo.

"(Y/n), calm down, please. I want to help you." The young hero was desperate to help out his girlfriend, but by the look of her state, he feared he might not do enough. Even if he gave it his all. That was just heart-clenching.

After what felt like hours of taking steady breaths, (Y/n) was able to say, though still stumbling, the words that she feared. "M-my parents, I-Iida... T-they a-are... T-t-they a-are..." She couldn't hold those damn tears, her sobbing taking control of her again. All of this breathing to get her to calm down for nothing.

Thou, she didn't say what happened to her parents, Iida knew immediately what she wanted to say. It seemed that everybody else got it too, as their expressions turned to shocked ones. He didn't think that their prying eyes were going to help in this situation, so he decided to take (Y/n) to her dorm room. Without any hesitation, he picked her up bridal style and started to make his way out of the room. "Guys, I will take (Y/n) to her room. Please, don't bother coming along, because I want her to be alone for a moment. Do not also expect me to come back, as I will try and help her calm down. Thank you." He said, without even looking back at his classmates.

Everybody just looked around, not knowing how to respond to this situation. Plus, they didn't feel like continuing to watch the movie at this moment. It just felt disrespectful toward (Y/n).

...

Iida closed the door behind him and went to (Y/n)'s bed to lay her down. He was the only one who knew of her situation. He was the only one from the whole class that knew she was adopted. He knew how much she loved her adoptive parents. But he didn't know how much she was hurting. He knew that there was no way for him to actually know how she felt. Yes, it was terrible, but for her... She was probably going through Hell right now.

He sat right next to her, wrapping her in his arms."(Y/n), I will not tell you to calm down, because I know it won't help." He said in a gentle tone, hurt laced in it from seeing the normally bright and smiling (Y/n) in this broken state. She was always there for him when he needed her. Now it was his turn. "I know that I will not be able to help you with words, so I want you to cry your eyes out. Cry until you have no tears left because if you bottle up these emotions, they will come back stronger. When you are done, I will still be here. I won't be going anywhere."

Those words made the girl start shaking. Now she was letting it all out. All of it. She didn't see her boyfriend's face. He was trying not to cry himself because it hurt him so much from seeing the person he adored so much be so broken. He wanted to be strong for her. So he stayed with her.

...

An hour had already past, and (Y/n) felt like her head was going to explode from so many tears. But, she would admit that she felt a little bit better. Just enough so that she could return to her normal breathing.

Iida has kept his promise to stay with her. His shirt was damp with her tears, but he didn't care. All he cared about, was that she seemed to get her control back.

"Thank you, Iida." The (h/c) haired girl said, lifting her face from his chest, and showing him an eye closed small smile. Her eyes were red and puffed from all the crying, but in the boy's eyes, she was still perfect.

"You're welcome." He said with a smile of his own.

Whhooo boyy. This took longer than expected. In my head this played out for like 10 minutes...XD. Anyway, hope you liked it. Don't forget to comment or message me if you have any requests. Also if you have any criticism for my writing, say it, because I would really like to improve. Thank you again for reading! Have a nice day!
