The three of them were in the main garden. The twins were acting out something that made Ha Eun laugh, it could be a performance for the king's birthday that's coming up. Normally they wouldn't do a party because the economy simply can't handle it, but since it was his 50th, it was a good excuse. Ha Eun has been asking you for advice on what she could do. You suggested singing or making him something. It won't be s big gathering. Just families and some officials, so you won't be there that day.
One of the twins spotted you, the brunette. His blonde counterpart remained oblivious. "Y/N, finally you're here." Jungkook yelled. Jimin stopped dancing and gave you a smirk.
"Go get us some food. Hoseok, go with her." Jimin said. Out of nowhere, a man appeared from the shadows. Hid shade covering his snake eyes. He darted at you. You stood still, a smile on your face. When he was a few feet from you, he took off his glasses and ran to give you a hug.
"Y/N, I've missed you." he said, jumping up and down. Any other person would have a hard time believing he's the head bodyguard for the twins.
"Hello oppa. It's been just two months." you laughed.
"You've grown so much." he said, patting your head and making your hair a mess in the process. He took a liking to you immediately, most likely because he was an orphan himself. The twins' family took him in and trained him to risk his life for them. He wouldn't hesitate to kill you if it meant the twins were safe. That being said, he would do anything for them, even getting them food.
The two of you began walking in the direction of the kitchen, chatting about the weather and things like that. "It's starting to get cold, is your apartment warm enough?" he asked.
"Yes, oppa. Don't worry. The Princess knits me a lot of blankets."
"I still don't understand why you don't want to live in the palace. I mean, I live with the twins."
"You have to. Dangers don't have a set schedule of when they happen." you teased. He rolled his eyes. "But Ha Eun has asked me about it. I feel like once I'm here, I'll be stuck forever."
"That's true. But at least you can see the Prince more." You tripped on the air, Hoseok continued walking as if nothing happened.
"Oppa, shut up!" you whispered yelled. He spun around and laughed hysterically.
"You're not denying it though." he said. You looked around, making sure that no one heard the conversation. It wasn't that having a crush on the Prince was illegal, it would be unwise to speak of it so loudly.
"It's just a fantasy." you told him. "Besides my apartment and my job here, there's not much to be happy about. At least with my dream, I have full control of it."
"Well, I know you'll get your happy ending one day." he said. You thanked him. The kitchen was up ahead. A man with wide shoulders stood in the center, overlooking the operations.
"Sir Kim, how nice to see you here." you said, bowing to him.
"Don't call me that, it makes me feel old." Seokjin grunted. He adjusted his hair and said something to the chef.
"You are the prince's advisor, what else are we supposed to call you?" Hoseok added. He stole a chestnut from the basket and tossed it into his mouth before anyone could notice.
"How about....Worldwide handsome?" Seokjin asked, looking off to the side and pondered. You slowly nodded and headed to one of the chefs. Knowing that the twins were here, the chefs had already prepared some snacks and tea.
"What are you doing here, if you don't mind me asking?" you asked while waiting for the trays to be set up. Nearby a gas stove was turned on, the fire jumping out rapidly then shrinking back. You moved away from it, feeling a little nauseous. Your fear of fire was so strange.
"I asked the chef to cook some soup for Namjoon, he's been feeling out of it lately. I think he might have come down with the cold." Seokjin explained. The chef tapped him on the shoulder and gestured for him to taste the soup. Nothing gets delivered to the Prince without going through Seokjin first. Before becoming the prince's advisor, Seokjin was on the path to becoming a manager of a prestigious hotel. He and the Namjoon were classmates, when the time came for Namjoon to choose an advisor, he didn't hesitate to ask his best friends. They were extensions of each other.
"The Prince is sick?" you asked, sounding louder than you intended. When you realized that, you covered your mouth quickly, but Hoseok and Seokjin already noticed and snickered.
"I bet you would love to take care of him right now, Y/N." Hoseok said, nudging your elbow.
"I will literally kill you right now." you said through clenched jaws, eyes glaring at him.
"Actually, that's not a bad idea." Seokjin began. "I have something that I have to do so you should bring it to him, Y/N. He should be back at his quarter right now."
You shook your head violently. You already felt dizzy at the idea and there was no way you could step inside that room. For one, you've never been there before and two, why should you go? "No, no. I can't, I have my hands full with the princess." you said, raising the tray of snacks that had just finished. You smiled innocently and began to leave but Seokjin quickly stood in front of you.
"I'll take this. I have to talk to the Princess about her gift to the King anyway." You held on tighter to the tray, but he managed to pry it out of your hand. He walked out of the kitchen, Hoseok following him and sticking his tongue out at you before disappearing into the distant. You froze in place. Everyone in the kitchen had their own assignments and refused to help you take the soup to him. So that's how you ended up in front of his room, the tray of food in your hands. Yoongi was astonished but wasn't that surprised to see you. "About time you show up." he said. You rolled your eyes, but you know he means well.
"Yo, Joon. Y/N's here." he yelled. Yoongi was among the few people who could talk this way to the prince, being his second best friend and bodyguard. Aside from Seokjin, Yoongi was always with him, unless it's to visit the king's chamber. Yoongi sometimes sacrifices his naps for the prince. The doors swung open, the scent of him reaching you.
