You yawned sleepily as you slowly made your way to where the second part of the chunin exams would take place. With everything that happened yesterday you barely got any sleep as a result. In fact your lack of sleep made you so tired that you didn't even notice someone was walking alongside you...well that is until they said something and nearly scared the living daylights out you.
"Gesh! Don't sneak up on me like that Neji! I didn't even know you were there." You whined with a hand over your racing heart as Neji watched you disapprovingly.
"Are you really so tired that you didn't even notice me until I said something?"
"Hehe yea I guess so. I'm still trying to wake up." You explained awkwardly rubbing the back of your neck with the hand that was previously over your heart.
Neji stared at you silently for a few seconds before looking forward again. He seemed to be contemplating over saying something or not. Finally coming to a decision Neji glanced back towards you.
"I'm assuming you didn't sleep well because of yesterday's conversation."
You frowned at the reminder looking to the ground as the two of you walked. It was silent once again after this. The silence wasn't terrible but it wasn't good either. It was slightly uncomfortable if anything. It was more so for you than for the dark haired male walking beside you though.
"Your past—" Neji began once again causing you to look towards him in curiosity.
"Well I can see why you have tried to keep it hidden." Neji finished after a few seconds of silence.
Your curiosity quickly dissipated at Neji's words and you glanced to side with a downcast expression. Noticing the error in the way he approached the subject Neji looked back ahead as he tried to find a way to correct his mistake.
"Well if it's any significance...I don't think less of you." Neji slowly added causing you to look towards him in surprise.
"Are you being serious?" You tentatively asked earning a small smirk from Neji.
"Yes. You're still that same unfocused fool I met years ago."
Regardless of Neji's slight insult you couldn't help but to smile. You definitely weren't expecting that kind of response from him at all. In all honesty you weren't sure of what Neji thought of your past considering how quite he had been when he learned about it. You had just automatically assumed the worst and that he didn't like you anymore but it seems you were wrong. It was honestly a big relief and somehow it made you feel a little less tired. Smiling at this you looked back towards the dark haired male.
"Thank you Neji."
Neji didn't say anything in response he just gave a simple nod but you didn't really mind. You just smiled and continued quietly walking alongside him.
As you walked you noticed a large forest up a head. The forest was surrounded by a tall fence and a few teams were waiting around it.'This must be the place. I wondered if Razan and Kurai are here yet.' You thought looking around for your team as you and Neji finally reached the forest.
"Hey Neji! We're over here!" A girl with brown hair suddenly called out walking over to you and Neji. Alongside her was a familiar guy in a green jumpsuit.
"Hey—Oh who's this?" The girl asked finally noticing you.
"Oh I'm (YN). What are your names?" You smiled.
"I'm Tenten."
"And I am Rock Lee! It is a pleasure to meet you." The guy in green said with a bright grin.
