'That doesn't explain the noises though. Something else might know about the vent pathways,' thought Kate.

She followed her friends into the next room. What they came upon was a very large, open room. There was a large sign that said "Heavenly Toys", with an ink waterfall behind it. There were lots of toys of the cartoon characters around, with some Bendy cutouts. It didn't look much like a factory, for there were no conveyor belts or box.

"A toy department?" asked Lukas.

"I remember this place. There should be an elevator somewhere up ahead. Hopefully we can take it to the surface," said Alice. "Though, the boys and I haven't come down here in a long time. I forgot why."

The four started to look around, seeing a set of stairs that led to an upper level room. As they got closer to the staircase, the four suddenly heard some humming in the distance. It sounded like a woman was humming, but after everything that they've seen in the studio prior to this point, they had a feeling that it wasn't coming from a friendly source.

Alice froze for a second. She formed a horrified look on her face. Though Aiden, Lukas, and Kate saw her react this way, they didn't ask her what was wrong. They were also startled by the humming, so they assumed that she had the same reaction as them.

The humming stopped, so the four tried to continue onward. The upstairs room appeared to be a workshop for the toy department. There were lots of shelves that had many toy plushies of the cartoon characters. Most of the plushies were of Alice. There were even a couple of machines and work benches in the workshop, but the big pile of dust on everything indicated how inactive thee workshop had been.

As the four entered the workshop, Alice picked up one of her plushies and looked at it sadly.

"The man who worked here, he said that my toys weren't selling. I never understood why..." she said.

Aiden picked up one of the plushies. Other than a few tears and some ink stains, the Alice plushie looked fine.

"I don't see why someone wouldn't want an adorable plushie of a lovely character like you," he said. "I don't think there's anything wrong with you, Alice."

"Yeah. You're nice and sweet. There's nothing wrong with you," said Lukas.

Alice smiled sadly at them. "Thank you," she said.

Kate wasn't listening. She had been looking around since she was still sketchy due to the humming. She saw no traces of anyone nearby, but she did see where the way out of the workshop was. The way to the door was blocked by some shelves, but as she looked at the shelves, she saw that there appeared to be some mechanism.

Kate tried to push the shelves, but it was too heavy. She sighed in frustration.

"Hope this toy machine is still working," she said.

She looked at the machine. It was still off, but she saw some cords leading out back to the department room. She followed the cords and saw a power lever. Kate turned it on and headed back into the workshop.

Already, her friends were working on helping her get the toy machine working. The belt wheels were clogged by pieces of some broken toys, which they were working on removing.

It didn't take long at all. The belts were moving properly, and the machine was back in operation. Kate pulled the lever. The shelves moved a bit, opening up the door way and showing a workbench that was hiding behind the shelves in another spot.

Lukas and Kate spotted a tape recorder on the workbench. They walked over and picked it up. The name on the back said Shawn Flynn. Since they hadn't heard a recording from this person before, they decided to play it and hear what the person had to say. When they hit the play button, a man with an Irish accent spoke from the recording.
