Matt was angry at her, but on the other side happy to know she wasn't hurt. She was in the corner, head resting on her knees. Matt sighs. "Alex, I'm sorry", he says softly. He heard her sharp intake of air, but no reply. "I don't quite get why you don't want the baby, but I promise.....whatever your decision is, I'll support you one hundred percent".
She finally looks up at him, and shook her head. "It's too late for that", she tells him, gesturing to her belly. He shook his head and releases a defeated sigh. "There are other ways to......get rid of it, using magic-".
Alex sighs, getting up. "Stop Matthew, I won't do anything stupid okay?" He nods stiffly. "My parents, where are they?" She shrugs, "No clue, I lost their scent, that's when she kidnapped me". Matt nods. "You need to escape Alex, I can't, won't let her hurt you, both of you".
She nods. "But even if I were to Matt, how would I?" He goes silent, trying to formulate a plan. A defeated sigh left him. "What kind of a mate am I?" He mumbles. "Unable to protect his family". She kneels before him grabbing his face in her hands. "I love you Matt, and no matter what happens, I will love and trust you, okay? I'm glad I met you, I'm so glad I'm yours". Tears ran down her cheeks. "I've been so selfish towards you, and I'm sorry". She presses light kisses on his face, each kiss healing his bruised skin.
Pressing her lips against his, she melts against him, forgetting for a moment where they were. Finally pulling away, she rests her forehead on his. "First we get out of here, Matt, and we'll work this all out". He smiles against her lips. "Damn I love you, my sexy Lexy". She pulls back laughing. His eyes rested on her belly. "How long was I gone for?" He murmurs. "A month", she replies. He smiles happily. "He's growing so fast". Alex chuckles. "It could be a girl".
"But it isn't". She sighs, moving to examine the cuffs on his hands. "Don't touch it-" she hisses out in pain, as the silver burnt her flesh. The pain vanished as soon as it had come, healing in mere seconds.
"Are you okay?" His concerned voice asks. She nods. "I'm fine". She stoops behind him, grabbing the cuffs. A low growl left her. "Leave it Alex", Matt says. She ignores him. "There are some weird carvings on the cuffs", she tells him."What do they look like?" He asks. "Well there's something that looks like water fire, ice, earth and wind". He hums softly, it was an easy spell. He chants in an ancient language, the cuffs produced a clicking sound before they dropped to the floor with a loud clank.
Rubbing his wrists, he winces at the pain made by the silver. She walks around to him, her eyes locked on his wrists. "Let me heal you Matt", she says. He holds out his hands, she grabs his hand gently, running her hands over them.
The pain was gone. He removes his hands from hers, one reaching to caress her face, the other resting on her belly. A kick made him jump in shock. "He kicked", Matt laughs. She nods. He pulls her into a hug, inhaling her scent, one he had missed.
"Now to get you out of here", he murmurs. "I'm not leaving you Matt", she says, her eyes never leaving his. He shook his head. "There's no room for discussion Alex". She frowns, tearing her eyes away from him. "I don't want to leave you Matt", she whispers. He sighs, a hand resting on her cheek. "You can get help, find my parents Alex, and please don't run off again". Before she could open her mouth, he began whispering under his breath. A door appeared before them, wide open, it was as if she was looking through a foggy mirror, the castle's garden, making an appearance.
"Leave now Alex, I can't hold it any longer", he grits out. She nods at him, hurrying to the door, before she could put even one foot through, she was hurled across the room as if she weighed nothing. The portal closed as Matt ran towards her, scooping her unconscious form into his arms. Aurora's laugh cuts through the room, amused. "Did you really think I'd make it that easy?" The door swung open, and she steps in, a silver curved edged dagger in one hand.
"I'm gonna enjoy this", she says happily, twirling the knife in her hands.
