Taehyung has always had a stutter. His mother died when he was really young, before he could talk and his father paid no attention to the poor boy. So he never really got the hang of forming sentences and words properly. Which only made his dad angry.
Jungkook was Taehyung's childhood best friend. When they were little Jungkook always protected Taehyung from people who wanted to hurt him because of his stutter. Taehyung was so grateful to Jungkook and fell in love with him. Taehyung just wished that Jungkook could protect him from his father.
When they were at school Taehyung was terrified to talk, all because of his stutter. This was because of the impressions people gave when he attempted to talk to them. So he never spoke at school. Jungkook is always trying to make Taehyung speak and help him become more confident with his stutter. Taehyung still refused to speak.
One day when Jungkook was trying to speak he sighed in frustration and Taehyung noticed. He felt bad that Jungkook was doing this to help him and he kept refusing. Just then the bell and they headed off to their lesson.
"I'll see you at lunch Taehyung" Jungkook smiled at Taehyung and he nodded.
The thing was Taehyung didn't go to his lesson he just went home. He wanted Jungkook to have time to hang out with people who had no stutter and who he could talk to without getting frustrated. As Taehyung was walking home he suspected that his father would be at work and he was right. He had the whole apartment to himself, for now.
Taehyung went up to his room and put his things away and grabbed his sketch book from out his bag. His father only let him have his school books and nothing else, that was until he 'got rid' of his stutter. So this was hard hiding it from his father. Then Taehyung heard the front door open and close. So much for having the place to himself for the day.
He heard heavy footsteps coming up the stairs quickly and his bedroom door opened without giving him a chance to hide his sketch book.
"What are you doing here you little shit? And what's this?" His father asked angrily and intoxicated.
Taehyung didn't want to speak so he didn't. His father grabbed his sketch book and looked through it with a disgusted face. All he ever drew was mainly Jungkook and his father wasn't happy. He started ripping the pages out of his sketch book. Taehyung tried stopping him only to regret it.

Jungkook waited by the lockers for Taehyung so they could go to the roof top, where they normally go at lunch. Jungkook wanted there, even after all the students left leaving a few. Jungkook was confused and decided to go up to two girls at their locker.
"Excuse me, have you seen Taehyung anywhere?" Jungkook asked and the girls shook their heads.
"I think someone said that he'd gone home after break" one of them said and Jungkook thanked them.
Jungkook left school and ran to Taehyung's apartment wanting to know why he left and if he was alright. As Jungkook grew closer he heard shouting. And a man dragging a struggling teenage boy by the hair roughly as he tried to loosen the grip. Jungkook's eyes immediately widened as he realised it was Taehyung.
"GET OFF HIM NOW!!" Jungkook shouted as he ran towards them.
Taehyung's father was even more angry as he recognised Jungkook from the drawings in the sketch book. Taehyung's father brought Taehyung's ear close to his mouth and whispered something before throwing him harshly to the ground and got in his car and drove away.
Jungkook ran to Taehyung's side and helped him up. They both headed upstairs into his apartment and saw the stated it was in. The lingering smell of alcohol and all the alcoholic bottles everywhere. Jungkook sat a crying Taehyung on the sofa and brought him close.
"Shh it's alright Tae, your safe" Jungkook rubbed his hands up and down Taehyung's back gently to comfort him.
"N-N-No I-I'm n-not" he stuttered.
Jungkook was confused but told Taehyung to take a few deep breaths before he continued.
"H-He said t-that I-If I di-didn't k-kill my-myself when h-he g-got back he'd d-do som-something" Taehyung stuttered his tears slowly stopping.
"I'm calling my dad" Jungkook said as he pulled his phone out of his pocket.
Luckily Jungkook's dad was a police officer so he'd knew exactly what to do. In a few minutes the police arrived and they asked what had happened. What Taehyung told them what happened they said that they'd go looking for his father and arrest him immediately. Taehyung was shaking out of fear.
"Tae, do you want to stay with me" Jungkook asked and Taehyung hesitantly nodded.
"I-I sorry K-Kookie" he apologised as they slowly started walking to Jungkook's house.
"Why are you sorry? You haven't done anything wrong" Jungkook smiled as he grabbed Taehyung's hand to reinsure him.
"Y-You got a-annoyed e-earlier" Taehyung looked down and Jungkook remembered.
"No Tae, I wasn't annoyed at you, I remembered that I had a test right after break and I hadn't revised for it" Jungkook smiled making Taehyung looked at him.
"I-I l-love you K-Kookie" Taehyung smiled and so did Jungkook.
"I love you too Tae, I always have" Jungkook smiled and made their lips connect.
As for Taehyung's father he was arrested and was sentenced for life in prison for passed events as well and Taehyung and Jungkook were happy together and Taehyung started to talk more even if he still didn't like his stutter he decided to try and think of it as its a good thing and that's something special that makes him, him.
