during ww1 on christmas 1914 the british soldiers and german soldiers stopped fighting to sing , give each other haircuts, play soccer ,and get to know each other. when they had to go back to fighting they didn't want to do it anymore because they had become friends. the soildiers had to be separated were scattered. this type of bonding and becoming friends with the enemy was no longer allowed.
