"Isis?" Caesar Coleman called out to a cold, dull room. He walked in cautiously, placing his work boots by the door and noticed his wife sitting on a chair. "Hey, James said you didn't show up to work today. Are you feeling okay?"

It was then that Isis turned around, her eyes bloodshot and her face puffy. She held a baby Clove in her arms tenderly. "Caesar..."

"What's wrong?" He questioned, coming to her side in an instant, placing a warm, calloused hand on her cheek.

"I'm pregnant," She shook her head, her jade eyes trained on her one year old infant.

Caesar stopped his soothing movements, the air caught in his throat. "But... but we're always so careful. H-how?"

"I don't know," Isis choked out, her fawn locks sticking to her damp face. "It doesn't matter anymore... How am I supposed to do this, Caesar? How can I kill my child?"

Caesar pondered what to say. He knew that at this moment, it wasn't an actual child, but to Isis, that baby was a part of her. There were no other options though. It was illegal to have more than one child and the couple had already been blessed with a beautiful baby girl. "I'm sorry, love, I am," He settled, embracing her while being mindful of Clove.

"I need to go talk to Seline," Isis decided, setting Clove down gently in her crib before grabbing her shoes.

"Is that..." He sighed. "Is that the best idea? I know she's your best friend but this probably isn't something we should let get out."

"She won't tell anybody. I'm going," and she was already out of the door and walking down the corridor to Seline's. It wasn't a long walk, both of them lived and worked on Factory station, but the immense dread she felt made it feel longer than it ever had before.

"Hey, Isis," Thane, Seline's husband spoke upon opening the door after Isis had knocked rapidly. "Come on in. You know where she is."

Isis nodded and stepped inside, making her way to the couch that Seline had been occupying for months now. "Hi, hon," Isis greeted quietly, pushing a mountain of blankets over and cuddling up next to the frail girl. "How are you feeling?"

Seline coughed wildly. "Fantastic," She smiled grimly. Her once glimmering mahogany hair was dull and thin, and her skin radiant skin was now greying. "What happened? I'd recognize your sad voice anywhere." Isis sighed deeply and began crying again, telling her best friend what she'd told her husband only moments ago. "Oh, sis... Let me go with you to the appointment."

"Seline," Isis laughed sadly, shaking her head. "You can't even hardly move off this couch. No way. I appreciate it but it's enough to know you would be there if you could."

"I can't even imagine," Seline ran her fingers through Isis' unkempt hair, doing this for a few minutes as the two sat in silence. "Isis... I have an idea. It's a crazy one but... it might work."
