After about five minutes of raining fire, the onslaught let up until it was finally over.

I slumped against the railing of the rampart, breathing heavily and looking at the results of Erron's handiwork in silence. Charred earth laid where a large hoard of demons once stood, and craters of varying sizes were punched into the ground.

"What did you do?" Nova asked me as she uncurled herself from the fetal position.

"Erron and I made it rain."

"What do you mean by that?"

"We made it rain fire, Nova." I explained to her.

"Oooh, I thought you were talking about something else."

I shook my head in bewilderment, "You have quite the dirty mind, sis."

She stuck her tongue out at me: "Hey, I learned from the best. Um, are anyone else's ears ringing?"

"I think all of our ears are ringing right now." I replied humorously, only to realize that I was shifting back into my human form: "Oh great...I'm exposed to the elements."

Before anyone saw my birthday suit, I quickly blinked in a change of clothing from my wardrobe back in Helios. Sure, I used more of my reserves, but at least I was able to clothe myself. After I got my boots on, I helped Nova stand up.

She caught sight of the carnage Erron had caused and whistled: "Holy shit...Erron did this, didn't he?"

The dragon priest was slumped against the railing of the ramparts. He waved tiredly: "Hello."

Nova chuckled, "You okay dragon boy?"

He chuckled as Scorch struggled to reorient himself on his shoulder: "I've never been better."

I noticed that the white walls of the city were covered in soot, but thankfully they didn't seem to be damaged.

"Hey, think fast." Luna called, and I turned around in time to catch my shield before it collided with my face.

She sighed, "So we're done here?"

"Yep, pretty much." I confirmed, "It's going to be fun getting Erron and Nova down from here."

"Can you give me a piggyback ride again?" My sister asked expectantly.

I smiled, "Yes, I can do that. Can you stand up Erron?"

He pushed himself to his feet: "I can. Although, I hope I can go down the ladder without falling off..."

He chuckled nervously, then sighed: "Let's get moving. I'm sure everyone's wanting to know what the hell just happened."

I chuckled, "Lead the way Erron."

It took us a few minutes, but we got down the ladder without falling off. When we caught up with the rest of our group, I smiled tiredly: "I think we won."

"No shit." Ana and Luna grumbled at the same time.

I chuckled, "Hey, I'm sorry for stating the obvious."

My lover smiled, "While your idea was batshit crazy, you were still able to save this city. Good job love."

"I can't help but agree." Serafine chimed in as she flew down toward us. She landed gracefully before me and smiled: "You not only protected Freim, you also dealt with Azrael accordingly."

"Why didn't you warn me about him?" I asked her as I studied my team: Dorrian and Ben were helping Erron stand up while Nova was leaning on Analise. Luna stood beside me and smiled sadly: "he incapacitated two of my members and almost severed ties between Alysia and Ilfhannin."
