*Ulani POV*

We continue to run through the halls to my sister's quarters. When she was born, I requested that her room be placed next to mine. It seems like so long ago, now we have to leave our home. We reach her door and I rush inside. Only my sister and her personal nanny are in the room. The woman recoils from our sudden intrusion and grasps my sister to her chest. Her eyes widen when they finally settle on me. Tears form in her eyes and she kneels before me.

"My lady! You're alive!

"Yes. I am and there is something I need you to do.

"Anything for you my lady."

"I need you to help me prepare all the things Keone and I need to leave the castle."

"But.. my lady... where will you go?"

"Far away. Things will be changing around here and I suggest you and your family leave the castle for a while."

"Yes, ma'am. I will pack your things."

The attendant and I gather all of my and Keone's things into a bag that I hand off to Keith. I walk into my room and gather in the sights. I used to dread waking up here every morning, now I'm leaving. I walk over to my bed and pull out my weapons that I keep concealed in the mattress. They are the most precious things I own because my brother had them secretly made for me. What made these weapons really special is that is was made to be fused with my magic. I can make different types of whips appear depending on what I want. I've made whips made of energy, water, ice, fire, and other elements just with a thought. I tenderly pick up my whips and gaze at them lovingly.

My thoughts were interrupted by a loud roar from outside. The Blue Lion told me that we needed to leave. I run back to Keone's room and grab her softest carrying cloth. I begin to wrap it around my body as I explain to Keith the urgency of our departure. Once I have sling tied to my back, I have the nanny set Keone into it. Her head rests against my back as she settles back to sleep, and Keith and I make our way to the window. Just as we are about to jump, Keone's maid grabs my arm and turns me to look her in the eyes. Tears well up in her eyes againand she gently touches my cheek.

"Princess... I may not get another chance to say this so I need to say it now. Thank you. You saved my husband's life."

"What do you mean?"

"My husband was one of the unfortunate people sent to be sacrificed to that horrid monster. Thanks to you, my husband came back alive and unharmed. We are forever grateful and will help you and your brother in any way we can."

"Thank you and also you're welcome. It is my job to look out for my people, it was an honor an honor to save your husband."

With that, I jump from the window and start to dash towards the courtyard. What I didn't know was that a certain red paladin had watched the whole thing in stunned silence. An overwhelming feeling of respect overcame him as he watched your royal actions, also a feeling of protectiveness came over him as well. He would not allow anyone to hurt such a noble woman.

* Third Person POV*

Keith and Ulani run around the perimeter of the castle to the front of the courtyard. The sight inside was definitely something to behold. Soldiers were running all over trying to melt the walls of ice and out fires, all while trying to hold off the Blue Lion. Ulani knew that Blue wouldn't hurt anyone, but seeing their frantic states was hilarious. The king and queen were in the middle of the chaos, shouting out orders and profanities at the poor soldiers. Their personal guard was trying to take down the Blue Lion with no success.

Keith turned to Ulani, ready to form a plan, to see that she wasn't there. He turned toward the courtyard to see her running into the middle of the chaos with two whips of water at her side. She ran through the crowd, lashing out at all guards that stood in her way. With smirk growing on his face, Keith gets up and charges in after her. They almost make it to Blue but are stopped by a row of the king's guard. They block ther way with spears and form a circle around the couple. With the weight of a bag and a baby, their odds were not looking to good.

"Keith, duck."

That boy hit the deck as Ulani turns her whips from fire to water. In a quick motion, she flicked her whips, sending arcs of fire all around them. The fire flew into the faces of the soldiers, causing them to stumble away from them. They used the distraction to run through their open flanks and straight to the Blue Lion. Guards followed them as they made their way to Blue.

They had just made it when one of the guards got a hold of Keith's arm and yanked him back.

"Keith!"

Keith and the guard tackle each other and begin to fight as more guards started to run toward them. Blue was too busy causing a ruckus to notice and help. Ulani changes her whips to pure energy and is about to run back to help when one of her brother's soldiers tackles Keith's attacker, allowing him to escape. Ulani runs to help Keith up and they sprint together to the Blue Lion. She uses her powers to reach out to Blue and the lion stops attacking and opens its mouth. Keith runs ahead inside but Ulani halts at the entrance to the lion. She turns and looks to the wreckage of her home, standing on the balcony of her room was her brother. The fire reflecting its light on his hair, and his eyes glowing neon blue. His tribal instincts have surfaced.

Ulani turned her head to the icy wreckage of her parents' quarters. Standing among the chaos were the king and queen, who were staring straight at the princess. Seeing the faces of the two people who had sent her to her death caused something to rage within her. Anger takes over her, charging her body, and causing her vision to narrow. She didn't know that the markings on her body had begun to illuminate and a field of energy was surrounding her body, causing her hair to whip around her body. In one warful cry, the wave of energy was sent towards the king and queen. The wave flies through the people fighting below, causing them to pause, as the energy wave hits its mark. Ulani watches as her parents crumble to the to the ground in agony and screams of outrage. With one last look of defiance, she enters the Blue Lion. The cheering of her brother's soldiers fueled her resolve as they took off toward the Castle of Lions.

They leave the planet's atmosphere and a wormhole appears in front of them. Ulani glances back at her planet and tears swell in her eyes. A hand lays on her shoulder before she has a chance to cry.

"I'll bring you back here one day, I promise," Keith said.

She places her hand  over his and they watch as they entered the wormhole.
