jimin was a good kid 
                          
and he has all his golden stars to vouch for that. he always did his chores, received high marks on all his assignments and never once forgot to say his pleases and thank yous. 
                          
so it was only natural for him to drop everything just to provide aid to the wounded pokemon hidden deep in the alley.
                          
it was during his journey to the park for his daily duck feeding task (because jimin can't have his little friends starve to death) that he encountered the other 
                          
butt high in the air and upper body deep in a dumpster is how jimin found him. the other was what seem to be like scavenging for food but it was quite difficult to see from jimin's angle.
                          
"hi!" jimin greeted but the other was too preoccupied rummaging through the trash to have noticed the small 8 year old
                          
completely upset for being ignored, jimin marched his way towards the other, pout on his face as he gave a little tug at the others pants. 
                          
and that's when he sees it

                          
that's when he sees the others tail

                          
he watched with awe as the flame flickered bright, red in the sunlight, it was absolutely beautiful 
                          
eye still glued on the others tail, jimin inches his way closer to the bright flame, saying how pretty it is and how he just want one little, tiny touch, please.
                          
it was at this very moment that the stranger became aware of the tiny being presence, who is currently inching his way closer and decreasing their proximity. all this had the other on high alert. 
                          
jimin just wanted to brush his tiny fingers on the others tail maybe even play with the pretty, red flam- who are we kidding he definitely wanted to play with flame
                          
he had no intentions to hurt the other but the stranger of course didn't know that so when he caught sight of jimin reaching out his hand, he saw red.
                          
causing him to tumble into the dumpster and cry out a yelp 
                          
"no, no" jimin panicked scurrying his way towards the other "i'm not going to hurt you, i promise!"
                          
it was hard too see even with little jimin being on his tippy toes but the boy was able to take a glimpse of the other. once spotting the cut on the others arm, the 8 year old couldn't help but gush out how sorry he was and how he didn't mean to hurt him 
                          
eyes glistening with tears, jimin fumbles with his pocket pulling out what seems to be a bandaid "h-here, it'll help the owie go away" he explains as he stretches his arm towards the other 
                          
witnessing the young ones distress, the other seemed to ease down, no longer seeing him as a danger. he is a kid after all and his curiosity just got the best of him.
                          
with that in mind, he slowly tugged his way towards the weeping boy
                          
he was inches away from accepting the young ones bandaid when jimin suddenly pulls his arm back "c-can i put it on please?"
                          
hesitant, the other retracts back but with one small "please" from jimin, has him slowly nodding resulting to a beaming jimin  
                          
once the other is all bandaged up with looney tunes bandaids of course (they are jimin's favorite) and no more owie to be seen. jimin takes a step back to marvel at his work 
                          
"all done!" he claps, completely satisfied 
                          
taking a glimpses of the young ones work, the other smiles, sure the placement was quite crooked and surely one bandaid would of done the job rather than the 5 jimin had placed on him but he was still fond of it 

                          
"thank you — 
                          
"jimin!" jimin smiled "my name is jimin" 

                          
 nodding the other once again thanks the young one 

                          
"and your name?" jimin asks, wanting to know the pretty pokemon's name


                          
"taehyung"


                          
and with that, the two became quite close to the point that it even became a routine for jimin to visit the pokemon everyday with a handful of snacks.
                          
there wasn't a day where jimin wasn't with the other. his constant visit did cause some concern from his parents but with one small lie of I'm at jungkook's house, has his parents worry free. 
                          
it was his little secret 
                          
just until the day comes where his parents will allow him to get a pokemon and he can finally get taehyung out of that scary alley and into his cozy room but until then he knows the other will always be there waiting


                          
until one day he wasn't
