"What's going on?" Namjoon finally breaks the question once everyone seems to be settled and ready for the news to be delivered.

                          
Mina once again checks with you to see if you wish to answer but you simply stare at the carpet beneath your feet signaling you don't plan to say anything, so she does it instead. "I found out some troubling news about the curing spell." They all gaze at her expectantly as she slowly continues. "I've nearly perfected it by now but... it doesn't work exactly the way we thought it would." She hesitates to continue once again, making sure to avoid eye contact with the seven boys and looking nowhere near the direction of you and Jungkook. "If I cast the spell and make all of you human, everyone, with the exception of me since I'm the one who performed it, will lose all memories of your existence."
                          
There was absolutely no sound in the room. It had already been silent, but after Mina uttered those words, it was as if everyone had stopped breathing, stopped functioning all together in that moment of time.
                          
A few heads cautiously turn to Jungkook, looking between you and him, trying to get an idea of what was going on inside either of your heads. Your feelings are written all over your face as your lips are turned downward and your eyebrows are knitted together. Jungkook, however, you see once you finally gain the courage to look up to him from where your head had been rested on his shoulder, showed no expression on his face as he stared straight ahead.
                          
"So, in other words, (y/n) would..." Taehyung had broken the silence only to be harshly elbowed by Jimin as a way to tell him to shut his mouth before he continued on with the subject no one else dared to speak of, unsure of the youngest's possible reaction to the news that had just been delivered. However, he still showed no reaction whatsoever, but you were able to feel his grip on your waist tighten slightly.

                          
Hoseok adjusted himself in his seat and turned his attention back to Mina, along with Namjoon and Seokjin. "So, what do we do?" The four of them look between each other, each trying to formulate some sort of response. You officially lost your patience.
                          
"Isn't it obvious? We don't do the spell! There must be some other way..." You burst out, interjecting into the previous silence. "We just have to keep looking for another solution..."

                          
They all exchange looks and Namjoon hesitantly but firmly shuts down your idea. "There is no other way. We've been around for a long time, (y/n), and we've looked for every possible cure. We've talked to countless other vampires, witches, and other supernatural beings... but this is the only cure known to exist." You attempt to come back with some other idea or expression of hope, but when you meet Namjoon's apologetic eyes, you assume he's telling the truth that there really is no other way. You feel tears that you had been holding back begin to sting in your eyes, and you look to the ground to keep the others from seeing. "We'll give you two some time to talk," Namjoon urges softy, referring to you and your boyfriend, motioning for the others to leave the room as he stands up and treads out through the door.
                          
Only the two of you are left in the room, Jungkook still having not said a word. You lean forward a way from his grasp as you let you hair fall to hide your face from him. You have no idea what he is thinking at the moment, so you feel you have to be strong, or at least make him think you are. You unintentionally let out a whimper in the midst of holding back your unwelcome sobs, then in the next second Jungkook is kneeling in front of you, his hands clasping both of yours firmly. "(Y/n), please don't cry..." he whispers as he reaches a hand up to your face to swipe away the tears streaming down your cheek. You subconsciously melt into his touch, but your tears do not diminish. The both of you sit in silence for a few minutes, although it feels like hours to both of you. Jungkook lets out an unsteady breath causing you to open your eyes to face his stare. "I know this isn't what you want to hear, but... we need to go through with this spell."
