It had been almost five months since that day Jungkook had asked you out on a date, and one hundred days since you had "become official." Consequently, you two were going to celebrate your one hundred day anniversary together today. You were excited of course, you really liked Jungkook, and he made sure that you knew he felt the same. However, it seemed the person most enthusiastic about this anniversary was Mina. Ever since you and Jungkook started dating, she was an avid supporter, always telling you that Jungkook was a really good guy and that you two were perfect for each other. And as much as you hate to sound cheesy, you completely agreed. You and Jungkook had originally planned to casually spend the night in and just watch a movie and spend some time together, but Mina insisted that you two do something a bit more official. So, with her help, you reserved a table for two at a pretty nice restaurant in the nearby bigger city where you and Jungkook would eat and then you would go to a light show in the park. You had your doubts at first, but you ended up liking the idea, so you agreed.
Mina had come over to your house to help you get ready. You had told her that you would be okay to do it on your own, but she always loved helping you get ready and she knew you appreciated it too, so she came over anyway. You showed her a few options of dresses, and you ended up wearing a casual chambray dress with some sandals, making it the perfect outfit for going to a restaurant and then the park in the warming weather. You wore your hair down and Mina helped with your makeup, and as time went by you found yourself getting increasingly nervous about going out tonight.
Your personal life may have been going good with Jungkook, but the town as a whole, was not doing nearly as well. More people had been getting injured at night, earlier in the night than before as well, and no one dared be out past curfew, knowing that the few who did were left in critical condition. No one else had died since the first two people had lost their lives, but there was a dark cloud of fear and despair over the entirety of the population at the moment. You were worried about getting back as late as you would, and you had tried to move up the reservation at the restaurant so you and Jungkook could return earlier, but all reservations were full. You suggested that you instead just cancelled the plans and went back to your original plan of staying in, but Jungkook knew that you would actually be upset if you missed the light show, which you had been looking forward to since you planned it, so he assured you that you would be perfectly safe with him.
Truthfully, in the one hundred days the two of you had been together, you had found that Jungkook found it somewhat difficult to show his feelings, making you think at first that maybe he didn't really reciprocate what you felt for him. However, it was times such as these when he assured you and cared for your well being that you knew he really did care.
Mina is just finishing your makeup as you hear the doorbell downstairs ring, and you don't feel like waiting, nor do you want to make Jungkook wait, so you pull away from Mina's hands and rush down the stairs while Mina yells at you for almost making her ruin the entire makeup look. You laugh and then open the door to see your wonderful boyfriend, dressed in a white button up and some jeans with his Timberland boots, one of your favorite outfits that he wore often. You also noticed that he was carrying a bouquet of flowers, which you point out saying, "Aw, how sweet... and cheesy."
"Only for you," he says, earning a girlish giggle out of you. "Happy anniversary." He places a soft kiss to your forehead as he walks through the door into your house.
"Aren't you two cute?" Mina says sarcastically. "Now come on (y/n), I need to finish your makeup." Jungkook looks flustered, which you assume is from the fact that Mina had just witnessed everything, and knowing him, he wasn't one to show much affection in front of others.
"I think it's fine, Mina. Besides, we should probably be going." You check your phone to see the time. It's getting somewhat late, so you decide that you should go ahead and leave to make sure you arrive on time for your reservation at the restaurant. You take the flowers and hurriedly put them in a vase before you thank Mina and leave with Jungkook as he drives with you into the city for your night out. Jungkook is the type of boyfriend that liked to be touchy in subtle ways, like resting his hand on the small of your back, or putting one hand on your leg from the driver's seat as you sit in the passenger seat of his car. Sometimes, you wished he would be a little more open in his ways of showing to others that he cared, but at the same time, it was these small gestures that made your heart flutter and one of the reasons you had completely fallen for him.
