It was a little after noon when their flight landed back in California. Passengers slowly got up and retrieved their bags before sluggishly making their way down the row and off the plane. Throughout the flight, Clay had been quiet, and had listened to music the whole time, not talking to or acknowledging his parents or even Allison and Harley. The boy just seemed to be trapped in his own thoughts as he appeared to be zoned out during the majority of the flight.
When the family got off the plane, they almost instantly spotted a few familiar faces waiting for their arrival. Spotting a couple of his friends, Clay gave them a small smile as he walked over to the group. Meeting him half way, Skye was the first of the group to greet him with a firm hug before pulling away and taking notice of the older girl standing next to the Jensen boy. "Who's this, Clay?" Alex asked, giving the unfamiliar girl a kind smile. "It's a long story, but it turns out I have an older sister. This is Allison." Clay said, surprising his friends with the information. "And this is her daghter, Harley." The boy added, gesturing to the little girl in Allison's arms. "Wait, so you're a little brother and an uncle now?" Jessica questioned. "Yup. I am, indeed." The 19-year-old replied with a small nod of his head.
After talking and catching up for a couple minutes, everyone left the airport, and Clay and his family, including Allison and Harley, headed back to their house to get unpacked and allow Allison to settle in to the guest room just down the hall from the 19-year-old's bedroom. After showing his sister around the house a little, the teen claimed that he wamted to get out for a little, and his parents easily agreed to it. So after a short bike ride, Clay found himself sitting alone down at the docks as he overlooked the calm water around him. As he sat alone on the dimmly lit wooden dock, the boy found himself getting lost in his thoughts for the second time that day. He couldn't help but think about everything he recently learned about his life. Granted, he didn't blame his parents, as it wasn't their fault at all for what had happened, but he still couldn't help but feel hurt that theu would wait this long to tell him.
After some time, the sun set, making darkness take over the world around the 19-year-old, who still remained at the docks, completely alone with his thoughts and feelings. Pretty soon, the faint sound of an engine could be heard in the background, but Clay ignored it as he still sat there at the edge of the dock. "There you are. I've been looking for you." A voice softly spoke as a faint pair of footsteps approached the boy. "Well, you found me." The boy replied, not looking over his shoulder to see who the voice belonged to as he already knew. "What are you doing all the way down here, Clay?" Skye asked curiously as she slpwly moved to sit down beside her best friend. "Just thinking about stuff, I guess." He replied with a small sigh. "Something's bothering you. I can tell." The tattooed girl observed, being able to read her friend like a book. "What's on your mind? You can tell me." She said, her tone being genuinly caring. The boy let out a breath as he thought about whether it would help to talk about it or not. "Ok. But can it stay between you and me for now?" The Jensen teen asked, glancing at his best friend with a soft gaze. "Sure, Clay. Whatever you tell me will stay between us, no matter what it may be." The kind girl reassured him, offering him a small, encouraging smile.
Collecting his thoughts, the boy soon told his best friend about what he had learned recently. Clay told Skye all about how Allison was his older sister that his parents had at a young, unplanned age that he never knew about. He even went on to tell Skye about how his dad wasn't even his biological father, and he further explained about how his biological dad raped his mother, resulting in her becoming pregnant with him. To finish the long tale, Clay also explained about how his mother's rapist was Justin's biological father, meaning that the Foley teen had actually been his half brother all along.
After hearing everything, Skye became speechless at all the information about her best friend. "Wait, so the guy that used to bully you with the other jocks has really been your half brother this whole time?" She questioned. "Yeah." Clay replied with a small nod of his head. "Do you think he knows about any of this?" The girl asked, peaking Clay's curiosity with the question. "I don't know. If he does though, I'm going to be pissed that he still bullied me and never thought to tell me about us being brothers." The boy said.
