Kagurama's Pov.

There definitely was something wrong with Iruka-Sensei. Instead of yelling at me for the behavior I showed the past few days, he completely disregarded it. I fell asleep in his class, he let me. I switched the time on the clock, he told me to sit back down and continued the lesson. Now we were outside practicing my worst Jutsu. The clone Jutsu. I don't understand why it's so hard for me to form the small amount of chakra necessary for the Jutsu! I'm still a child, so I should barely even have any chakra reserve.

The Uchiha and Namikaze were an exception to this. The Namikaze's mom is an Uzumaki, giving him a huge chakra pool. I however was a nameless orphan who should barely even have chakra. I was also a girl, having less than boys. Am I just that bad at Ninjutsu? I find that hard to believe.

"Your turn, Kagurama." Iruka-Sensei called after checking off the Uchiha brat. I could see him glaring at me from the corner of my eyes. A glare which I happily returned.

"Bunshin no jutsu." I muttered doing the necessary hand signs. I don't even know what I was expecting. A perfect clone maybe? Not some pale ghost version of myself?

"What a loser you are skunk! Even I can do the clone Jutsu!" Hibachi laughed. Releasing a growl, I made my way to him.

"That's it you insolent maggot! I'll teach you a lesson you most definitely will not forget!" I threatened but Iruka-Sensei held me back.

"Guys, stop picking on Kagurama!" He scolded. My eyes widened as I looked up. Happiness filled my chest at the thought of actually being accepted. "Just ignore her." And that's all it took to crush me. No one said anything as Iruka-Sensei led them back to class. I chose not to follow. I could feel my nails dig into my fist from how tightly it was clenched. Shaking my head, I bit my lip.

"Don't pay any mind to him, Kagurama! He's just another person I have to get through to become Hokage!" I exclaimed, trying to encourage myself. Putting on a false smile, I made my way to the academy. The nagging feeling I felt when I sensed Iruka-Sensei a while ago, was eating at the back of my head. If that feeling was me actually sensing someone, than it's probably Fox spying on me.

________

After the academy released the student, I made my way down the streets of Konoha. A certain mask shop grabbed my attention causing me to stare at it. One mask in particular had my attention. The Fox mask. It was similar to Fox's mask, but more dimensional.

"You brat." A voice growled from my left.

"Huh?" I looked in the direction, only to be forcefully shoved down.

"Go away!" The voice shouted again. It was the store owner. I fell back on my bottom, confused. Instantly people began surrounding the shop.

"What are you doing here?! You plague!" He shouted.

"I was only looking at the masks." I muttered while looking down in humiliation.

"You want this?!" The owner shouted while he grabbed the mask and threw it at me. It hit me on the face before falling down. "Well you can have it. Now get lost!" He shouted once more. My hand clenched the mask at the anger I felt. I looked around me to see the looks the villagers sent towards me.

"Why are you all just standing there, looking at me like that?!" I demanded as I glaring at them. I stood up, and ran back home. I struggled to unlock the door in my frustrated state causing me to give a strangled shout. I just won't lock my door anymore! It's not like anyone would try to break in. I'm avoided like a plague, in the shop owners words.

I took my mind off of what happened, and began my plot of revenge against Hibachi and his friends. They mocked me earlier saying that I was too much of a loser to visit the graveyard built for the dead after the Kyuubi attack. I was going to scare them while pretending to be the spirit of the Kyuubi. A truly perfect plan. I smirked as I put a black cloak in my backpack along with the mask. I knew they were going to be there after dusk, but I don't know when exactly.

"I'll just go now and pack some energy bars to eat later." I concluded putting two bars in my backpack, and I headed to the graveyard. I walked up the steps and sat behind the statues. This was going to be a long and dreadful wait.

_________

I felt a familiar tingling sensation in the back of my head. Wasn't this the same feeling I felt when I pranked Iruka-Sensei with oil? I stood up to glance behind the statue, and saw Hibachi and his two friends sneaking into the graveyard. Grinning, I put on the Fox mask, and wrapped the cloak around me. I jumped up onto the tallest statue and held my arms out.

"Heh, Heh, Heh." I laughed causing them to freeze. The minute they looked up, their faces paled considerably and they ran out screaming. What confused me however was Iruka-Sensei running into the grave with a kunai ready. He must really believe the Kyuubi spirit it here then. I jumped down in front of him, causing him to jump back. Releasing my held laughter, I removed the mask.

"You better run away Iruka-Sensei, or the Kyuubi spirit will eat you alive!" I laughed but stopped seeing the look on Iruka-Sensei's face. "Why? Why does everyone... even my Homeroom teacher... why do you all look at me like that?!" I shouted at him. He looked taken back, but I continued. "I'm never going back to the academy again!" I ran to the back of the statue, grabbed my backpack, and went back home.
