Ayato had grown. Actually, that was an understatement of the century. Ayato was insanely hot and (Y/N) knew he was just as fit as he looked under that dark sweatshirt of his because when they hugged, she could feel how truly masculine he was.
She tried not to stare too much, but it was impossible not to, he was just so breathtaking.
"Shrimp. You're drooling." Ayato said with a slight smirk as his blue eyes gazed into hers from across the table.
(Y/N) blinked rapidly, knocked out of her daze. Her cheeks turned a bright shade of red, realizing she was caught off guard.
"W-what? N-no. I was just drooling . . . over the appetizers!" She exclaimed, her cheeks bright red.
They had come to the small café because (Y/N) wanted to grab a light snack.
Ayato glanced down at the appatizer which consisted of meat balls and furrowed his eyebrows. He didn't have a taste for human food but he was sure that was nothing to drool over.
"See? Yumm!" (Y/N) chuckled nervously as she picked it up and shoved it in her mouth, making sure not to show the distaste on her face as she chewed on the grimacing food.
Ayato smiled and shook his head as the (H/C) haired girl devoured the distasteful food to prove her point. He couldn't look away from her. She was beautiful.
He had dreamed every night since the day she left, that she'd come back, and now that he finally had her back he was never gonna let her go. He refused to admit that when she left, he fell apart. The only reason he picked himself up was because of what she said years ago.
"You're not a monster, Ayato-kun."
She was the only reason he was what he was today; calm, collected, rational. Sure he sometimes lost it and would kill viciously. He would be sidetracked by all the adrenaline that pumped through his veins and he would tear his opponent apart, but one look at the purple winged necklace she had given him, it would knock all the air out of him and make him stop.
She was his redemption.
(Y/N) swallowed the last meat ball with a barely conspicuous cringe and flickered her gaze over to him. He was watching her, his beautiful blue eyes bore into hers intensely.
She furrowed her eyebrows in disbelief. "You didn't reply with a cocky comment."
Ayato smirked. "Did you want me to?"
(Y/N) shook her head vigorously. "No! I-I mean, no."
She knew that he would probably rub it in that she was practically drooling over him and she liked the color of her skin, thank you very much, an excessive amount of red wasn't needed here.
"You've changed . . . You're more calm and matured." (Y/N) stated, a gentle smile curling at her lips.
Ayato leaned back, a smirk on his lips. "You've changed as well."
(Y/N) grinned as she sipped her water. "Thanks, my growth in height is what I mostly take pride in."
Ayato chuckled, the sound deep and sexy, sending shivers down her spine as he shook his head. He leaned forward, his bangs drooping over his peircing blue eyes as his eyes slowly dragged down her figure.
"Oh, I didn't mean your height." He corrected, his eyes dragging it's way painfully slowly up to her face.
(Y/N) choked and spit out the water, her cheeks turned even redder. The way he looked at her at that moment made a shiver of pleasure run down her spine.
"Ayato-kun!" She exclaimed, dabbing her flustered face with the napkin on the table.
Ayato chuckled at her adorable flustered face.
