Alexia had Aspen help her make a welcome home sign for Bucky she made both Aspen and Bradley put their handprints on it as it says "Welcome Home Daddy." that she let Aspen color in the letters. Winnie and Sarah watched as Alexia had Aspen help her and Sarah smiled and said "We did good Winnie."
"Yes we did." Winnie said
A few days after they finished the sign she was putting Aspen's hair into a ponytail with a camo bow and her leggings with a shirt that said "My Hero wears Combat Boots and he's my daddy."
She tied her shoes for Aspen then got Bradley changed into his onesie that said the same thing with jeans and little black converse shoes. "Alright guys let's go get daddy." she said.
She put Bradley in the car first then put Aspen in her big girl car seat since she was 3 years old now. Alexia got in the car and drove to the tarmac parked the car as she was about to get Aspen out she heard "Alexia need some help."
She looked to see who was speaking to her and she said "Yes Lt Col Barnes."
He got Bradley out of the car seat and she got the sign and had Aspen holding her hand and Winnie's hand. Her parents were behind her as they walked up to the place where the families were waiting. Aspen said "Mama where's daddy?'
"We have to wait for them to get off the plane when it lands baby." she said
They all saw the jets coming in and landing and Aspen started jumping up and down. They all started to come off the plane and lined up. They had to do their usual stuff before they could let them go to their families. Alexia let Aspen hold the sign but the moment she saw Bucky she dropped the sign and went running "DADDDY!!!" she yelled and he squatted down and hugged her so tight "Oh baby girl you look so grown up with that ponytail."
"Daddy look at my shirt." she said as she moved her jacket.
He read it and he hugged her with tears as he looked behind her to see the rest of his family. Then he picked her up and his bag and walked to Alexia and kissed her. "God baby you look amazing."
"Thank you." she said.
He took Bradley from his dad and he saw that he had onesie that matched his sister's shirt and he said "Baby god you are incredible."
"Well Wanda said she got them made for Sophia and Landon for when Clint got home so I figured I would do the same for you." she said
"I love them baby" he said
"Now you little guy you look so big too" he said
"Daddy lookie" Aspen said as she picked up her sign.
He said "Aww baby girl did you help mama."
"I did that's my hand. Bubby's hand I colored it and mama put the letters." Aspen said
"Baby when did she start talking this much." Bucky said
"You've been gone a year and half baby she turned 3 6 months ago" she said
He picked up Aspen as his dad got his gear and his bag and they walked to their cars. He hugged his parents and Alexia's parents. "oh god I'm glad to be home." he said as he hugged his dad.
"I know that feeling me and Joe both do." James said
They got home and he said "Baby something smells good."
"Well I have a pot roast in the slow cooker. I figured you might want a home cooked meal your first night home." she said
"Yeah that would be nice but why don't you put them down for a nap so I can show you how much I missed you." he whispered in her ear.
